Come for your holidays in my nice apartment in the heart of Venice. It can confortably host up to 5 people, with a private garden, and it is only two steps away from S. Marco square, in one of the most ancient districts of Venezia.
A little and warm house with independent access, recently restored, in optimal position, only a few minutes away from both the train station and the docks, and also all the most famous locations of the city.
It is in fact very easy to reach from this house, in a very small time, the famous Piazza S. Marco, the Rialto district and, by ferry, San Giorgio and Murano islands.
Futhermore, the house is always safe from the frequent high tides of the Lagoon, while still remaining close to the places of interest mentioned above.
The house is on a single floor made of:
- living room with dining table and television
- small kitchen with fridge/freezer, hob, sink and microwave oven
- toilet with shower, washbowl and bidet
In the bedroom there are a double bed and a single one, and also in the living room there is a sofa bed, so up to 5 persons can be accomodated.
In the district you'll find all the commodities you might ever need, for example a grocery always supplied with fresh fruit and vegetables, a baker, a hairdresser and a mini-market.
For those who want to avoid cooking, there is also plenty of choice in term of restaurants and pizzerias, which offer a good taste of the local cuisine.
- check-in is allowed from 12pm to 4pm; check-in between 8pm and 10pm will require an additional fee of 40€, or 50€ when between 10pm and 12am; check-in after 12am is not allowed
- check-out must be before 10am ( arrival in day is appeciated )
- stay tax is 2.00€ per person, as required by venice municipality, except for kids between 10 and 16, who pay only 1.00€, and kids below 10, who pay nothing; this tax must be paid in cash at the moment of arrival, together with a photocopy of the identity card, and fiscal codice.
- trash must be placed outside the apartment door before 8:30am; venice municipality can inflict a fine up to 100€ for infractions
- customers are required to empty the fridge on the day of departure and leave the apartment in order
- customers must communicate the expected time of arrival
- customers must contact telephonically once arrived at the pre-established meeting point, this will allow us to help you with precise instructions to reach our apartment
Great little apartment close to San Marcos; exactly as described. Monica went out of her way to meet us and make sure we were comfortable. Highly recommend for 3 ppl or fewer.
Monica is a nice and warm guest in Venice! Cozy flat and just a walk from the greatest places (like San Marco Square)... I truly recommend it!
Vicinissima a piazza San Marco e ancora più vicina all Arsenale.
We had a lovely stay at this apartment in Venice! It is deep within a residential (non-touristy) area, so expect to get a little lost when going in and out! But exploring all the alleys and canals of Venice is part of the fun! We had no problem walking to all of the main sites in Venice, and we enjoyed exploring the less touristy areas when we were looking for dinner or a place to get a drink. The apartment itself was perfectly cozy and comfortable. The only issue we experienced were the mosquitoes. Our visit was in early October and we thought they'd be gone by then, but it was still quite warm, so leaving the windows open for some air meant letting the bugs in. Just something to be prepared for if you're visiting during the warmer months! The apartment is quite a hike from Piazza San Marco, especially if you're dragging suitcases over the bridges. We found that the Ospedale stop on the Vaporetto water bus was actually quite a bit closer, so if visitors are willing to take the Vaporetto there, it might be a more convenient place to meet.
Monica was a lovely host. Her apartment was the perfect size for us (3 sisters traveling together), and she had water, orange juice, and bread for toast and jam ready so we could take it was your first morning. She gave us great recommendations (the wine shop around the corner is fantastic!). We also really liked the neighborhood - it was a little quieter but not far at all from the main attractions. The only downfall to the apartment was no wifi, but when we sat on the doorstop we were able to find some, and there is a bar around the corner with wifi. Otherwise, perfect trip!
