A lovely apartment in a great part of the city. Almost all museums around the corner, the university, creative shops and great restaurants, cafés and bars, both near and in a short walking distance. I can really recommend Alissas place!
Alissa's place was great- clean, convenient, comfortable just as shown in the pics and description. The building itself is historic and renovated, located across the street from the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) which is a real treasure and must-see. There is a good Japanese/Korean restaurant and a coffee shop in the lobby and a diner a block away. Other restaurants nearby too. Alissa was very helpful and responsive to my questions about transportation and wifi, and check-in was easy and smooth. She's done a great job leaving notes around the apartment explaining where everything is- a fully annotated AirBnB!
Really enjoyed our stay at Alissa's studio. Comfortable accommodations, fast elevators, superb location, and excellent communication with owner. I recommend this place for anyone visiting Detroit.
Alissa's place was perfect and charming. The best of Detroit at your fingertips. Bonus points to Saved by the Bell playing in the gym downstairs.
Alissa's place was perfect. Across the street from the DIA. Walking to great places like Bronx Bar or Shinola store. Bonus for a wonderfully decorated apartment. Absolutely would stay again.
Alissa's apartment was extremely comfortable for the one night I spent in Detroit. Alissa was very flexible about my check in/out times and responded quickly to any questions I had. Her place is in a convenient location and provides secure parking for those traveling by car. The apartment is within walking distance to the Detroit Institute of Arts, which is a must see if you are visiting the city. There are also a number of nearby restaurants, grocery stores, and coffee shops. Definitely a great place to stay!
Great space and location.
Everything you could ever desire is here in this lovely appointed space, including the 2008 masterpiece book "Influence" by the Olsen Twins. (I had no idea it even existed and of course there's Terry Richardson photos galore.)
Stay here. You'll be pleased.
Alissa made our stay easy, comfortable, and pleasant. It was great to be within walking distance of the art and history museums - I would recommend both. The apartment is spacious and cozy. Alissa has an eye for detail in both the design of the space and the little extras that help guests feel at home.
Alissa's place is great! The building is in a great location-- right across the street from Detroit Institute of Art, Detroit Public Library, & Wayne State University. The building also has a great sense of community-- neighbors w/ kids & dogs going for walks, people grabbing drinks in the Lobby. I have visited Detroit many times, but this was my first experience in Midtown & I fell in love... Thx Alissa for a comfortable, convenient stay:)
Alissa's apartment is charming, clean and well equipped with dish washer, wifi and plenty of big white clean towels. Alissa left plenty of info about where could find food and fun sights, very helpful for us who were only visiting for 3 days! Although most needs can be satisfied within the building. If you for example crave a cappuccino first thing in the morning before getting ready then it is just to take the elevator and visit the little art cafe in the same building. So luxurious. This is a great place to stay and Alissa is a great host!
