Connie's clean, well-appointed apartment was the perfect home-base for our two-day visit to Detroit. Her charming studio was in a great location with an attached, secure parking garage and an assortment of restaurants & shops right in the building. And Connie was such a thoughtful, thorough and attentive host, checking in with us to make sure all was well, and providing us with all kinds of useful guidebooks, brochures, and personal recommendations for what to see & do in Detroit. I highly recommend her place. Thanks, Connie!!
staying in connies place was great! getting into the apartment and parking garage was easy, the place was in a great location, and she had plenty of information laid out to help us spend our time in Detroit.
I would definitely stay here again!
Every detail was covered in this space. I brought so many things with me that I didn't come close to needing, as they were provided. One of our best stays anywhere. We felt so comfortable and Connie was quick to answer my many questions. We hope to come back soon.
I loved it! Thank you Connie for being so accommodating. The place is great. The entire experience was detailed and thoughtfully done. Connie is a wonderful host. She had all of the essentials labeled and organized, which I quite appreciated. She was quick to respond to any messages, and even took the time to make sure that I got settled in alright. It was a wonderful experience and I do look forward to staying there again! ☺
We had a great time at Connie's studio. She kindly had left post it notes so we knew where everything was! There were maps and brochures and since I had asked about restaurants in walking distance she had left a little list for us.
The location was nice, though (and no fault of Connies!) apparently everything is closed on Mondays! We took it as an adventure and ended up finding a great place. We walked around at night (up to midnight) and felt perfectly safe - though we do live in DC!
The parking, instructions on getting in, and the security staff were wonderful!
Connie really is a superhost! She had thought of everything and that made my stay, though it was brief, very pleasant. I was particularly appreciative of the post-its telling me where everything was! She provided brochures and guidebooks that enabled us to plan what we could see and do with our limited stay. Her place is also on a main route for people who may not drive but want to get down town with the least fuss possible. It's also close enough to the highway to be able to access it without trouble. I would certainly plan for staying at Connie's place again if it is available on my next trip. Hopefully the roadwork will be done by then.
Connie's apartment was great! It was one of the best airbnbs I've ever stayed at. She provided me with detailed instructions, the apartment was tastefully decorated, fridge stocked with soda and snacks and it was clean as a whistle. It's in a secure condo building right on Woodward avenue, super convenient to Wayne State and close to downtown. I would highly recommend staying here!

About the Host, Connie
Loves architecture and old stuff. Excited about historic re-purposing and house rehab. Currently working on restoring a 1920s Bank to it's former beauty so it can serve a meaningful role in the community! Estate sale enthusiast and mother of three amazing (adult) children :)
I like interesting/quirky objects, the apartments reflect this--I hope you'll enjoy the eclectic mix of furniture and knick-knacks. I'd love to point you in the right direction whether you want to grab a bite to eat, see some live music, grab a drink, or do something out of the ordinary-- just ask!
**Please note, my daughter & I managed the airbnb together before, you'll see her name (Alissa) if you go far enough back in reviews, on occasion she still helps out :)
