Great stay! The apartment was fantastic. Cozy, comfortable, great decor. The bed is divine! Connie has everything you could need labeled and has great instructions for the logistics of the building and the apartment. Great shops in the building and right across the street from the DIA and other museums!
This was mine and my husband's first airbnb experience and we will definitely do it again. Connie's place was exactly as described and exceeded our expectations. Her apartment is artfully decorated and so welcoming. Connie's directions for how to use things in her apartment were clear and easy to follow. The location was amazing- it is literally across the street from the DIA (which has a fantastic restaurant too, by the way) and there is a great restaurant and coffee shop in the first floor of the building. We parked our car when we arrived and walked to everywhere we wanted to go, which was so convenient. Connie was very easy to get a hold of and was very helpful before and during our stay. I would highly highly recommend her place for a detroit visit!
We had a wonderful stay in Connie's apartment. She made everything seamless and easy - anything that we could have a question about was explained in her instructions email and in little notes at her place. Her apartment was charming and spotless. You feel right at home with Netflix, her record collection, and the selection of coffee and tea. We also loved the area that the building was in and felt safe having the security desk right in front of the elevators and a spot in the garage for our car. We will stay again on future trips to Detroit and highly recommend it.
Connie's apartment was cozy and adorable, exactly as pictured and described! She was very kind to arrange our stay at very short notice, and absolutely ensured we had everything we could possibly need to enjoy our trip to Detroit. The apartment itself is in a gorgeous old building, very well-located. We had no trouble whatsoever finding it, and discovered that it was the perfect place to launch adventures from, then to come back to at night. We found that the bed and sofabed were very comfortable, and we appreciated all the menu and destination suggestions she left. There were lots of dinner options within walking distance, and during the daytime, it's an easy few blocks to many of Detroit's museums and cultural attractions. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Detroit! Can't get any better than this! :)
Connie's home is a home away from home....cozie and intimate...Sparkling clean..if you need a place to stay in Detroit Connie's place is the place to be! Thank you Connie!
Connie's studio apartment was absolutely perfect for us! The apartment is clean, decorated with style, and located in one of my favorite spots in Detroit (Midtown next to the DIA). Connie was easy to communicate with during the entire process. She also does a very nice job of leaving notes and brochures in the apartment to communicate how things work or recommend places to visit. The Park Shelton is a beautiful building with security and parking, plus it's located in an area that is safe. My wife and I walked all around Midtown both during the day and at night and didn't have a worry. Without a doubt we would book this room again!

Loves architecture and old stuff. Excited about historic re-purposing and house rehab. Currently working on restoring a 1920s Bank to it's former beauty so it can serve a meaningful role in the community! Estate sale enthusiast and mother of three amazing (adult) children :)
I like interesting/quirky objects, the apartments reflect this--I hope you'll enjoy the eclectic mix of furniture and knick-knacks. I'd love to point you in the right direction whether you want to grab a bite to eat, see some live music, grab a drink, or do something out of the ordinary-- just ask!
**Please note, my daughter & I managed the airbnb together before, you'll see her name (Alissa) if you go far enough back in reviews, on occasion she still helps out :)
