We are a group of 8 bungalows, we live in one of them, so you can find us easily if you need anything. Usually Fabian lives there in winter and Martin in summer.
We are 3 blcoks from El Rivero beach, and close to Playa Grande entrance. We are one block from Paseo del Rivero and best restaurants in town.
Punta del Diablo is a charming beach town. The beaches are sandy, the water often calm and warm, and the swimming safe and inviting. Martin's group of beach bungalows were unusual, uncluttered, and accommodating.
If you want to rough it a bit, and break away from the luxury resort trap, a few days at Punta del Diablo at Martin's will be good for your soul. We felt we were part of a community, not tourists.
The house is very practical and comfortable as well as beautiful. It is very well located. When we arrived The house was very clean and Martin was friendly. We were 4 people and everyone really liked the house. I strongly recommend it, we had a great experience!
Great little house near the beach, good for Uruguayan bbqs and relaxing. The facilities were great and the beds comfortable.
The houses are beautiful and very spacious. Also, they are less than a 3 minute walk to the beach. The beaches here are beautiful. The town has no gas or ATM so remember to bring money previous to arriving.
We stayed at the house for two nights in early February just after dreadful storms had caused major devastation - not only in Pueblo del Diablo but also throughout Uruguay. The house is extremely solidly built and had not been effected at all by the storms. It is a comfortable house, although the living space downstairs when it's wet outside is very limited. Outside there is a fantastic BBQ and seating area. There is AC in the master bedroom and we could have done with it in the other two as it was extremely hot and humid. There are lots of stray dogs in the area and previous guests had been feeding a puppy and letting it in the house so this was a nuisance factor as one of our party doesn't like dogs. The house is easy walking distance to the beach, the village and shops. Martin was charming and really helpful. He washed and dried clothes for us (as it was too wet for clothes to dry on the washing line provided), loaned us a parasol when we went to the beach and gave us useful information. The house had the basics of salt, sugar, soap & toilet paper and there were enough kitchen utensils for basic meals. We would definitely consider staying here again if we ever return.
The bungalow is absolutely beautiful. Martin was very friendly and hospitable, he made our trip very easy and enjoyable. Definitely Recommend.
Martin was a great host, super nice and accommodating! A great place to stay when in Punta Del Diablo :)
