Daniel's apartment was accurately described and the instructions for staying were well explained. Even when we changed plans he graciously let us in in early. Great place to stay if you're checking out the city for a short while. Highly recommended!
Daniel is a very good host, the room is simple and clean and every location from Daniel's house is 20min very good!
Renjie only stayed for one night. He was friendly, but when he checked out he did something extremely stupid and made me very angry. When he left, he left my garage door wide open. He left at 9am, and I didn't wake up until 11am. My garage had been left open for over 2 hours. I very easily could have been robbed. Not only for items in my garage, but for my belongings in the home as well (since there is a door in the garage that stays unlocked and leads into my home). He made me feel very unsafe and vulnerable in my own home and I woke up very upset. My bike, power tools, camping gear, sporting gear and more was exposed to the streets, and not to mention all of my DJ gear inside my house (which is how I make a living). When I messaged him about it, he said he couldn't figure out how to close the garage door, but not only did I show him where the electronic button was, it is also listed in my house manual. Then he said that I should put it in the house rules to keep the garage door closed. That is such a ridiculous request since it should be common knowledge. If I added such common sense things as keeping the garage closed, or not setting my house on fire, my house rules would be 20 pages long.
Daniel's place is exactly as described, safe and quiet neighborhood, parking in Daniel's garage, close to public transportation. Communication with Daniel was fast and straightforward, he was very gracious to wait for us until 2am (after a flight delay) to welcome us and help with our next day plans.
The place is so clean and comfortable, also, the location is very convenient to get other places by bus or driving.
The room is tidy and clean and it's not far from bus station and seaside. There is a Chinese restaurant in Balboa street named Shanghai house where you can enjoy a delicious meal.
Daniel was a good host. He answered questions if I had any and was accommodating when I needed an earlier check in than the 3 o'clock normal time. Our stay at Daniel's place was enjoyable. The place was as listed and well suited for our time there. I would recommend staying at Daniel's place.

I am a really tidy person and cook for myself a lot. I work at night and live in a scenic, safe and quiet area in San Francisco by Golden Gate Park. I am a pretty laid back guy in my 30's, but am very sensitive about guests keeping my house clean and following my house rules. I like to consider myself an open minded and conscious person, respecting everyone's point of view. There is no smoking allowed inside my home, but I have a secure and safe back yard. You have full use of the home, besides my room of course. On nights when I am home, I will most likely be in my room with headphones on listening to music. The best way to communicate with me is via text message, even when I am in my room. I am friendly, but fairly reserved and quiet, so you may not see me very much, so do not be offended if I don't have too many conversations. I tend to let my guests have their space and privacy as well. Since I work many nights, you'd most likely be alone the majority of the time, but that is not guaranteed. I pride myself on being a responsible person, but I still love cartoons, comedians, and practical jokes.
