About this listing
Studio, 1 and 2 bedroom houses and apartments in the only residential neighborhood inside the Santa Fe Plaza.
Everything was great! I would definitely stay again. Great location. The Internet barely worked. I would try to improve this. Thank you.
On the 'pro' side - "location, location, location". It's in a terrific spot an easy walk to the Plaza, museums, shops, restaurants, et al. It was clean, had a nice kitchen, a washer and dryer in the closet, the bed was comfortable. On the 'con' side - the keys and directions were in an envelope on a table in front of a building (an office?). We were surprised there was no Host to greet us.
I don't know if it was a busy time for Bruce, but pre-arrival communication was a little difficult and confusing. But once we got that cleared up, we enjoyed our stay. The check-in was really simple, we just picked up keys - we never even met Bruce or anyone who worked for the BnB. The place pictured on this airbnb page is not where we actually stayed, though the casita we ended up with was cozy and similarly decorated. The best part of our casita was its location! We were within walking distance to the Plaza and the Railyard and a short driving distance from the museums and the galleries on Canyon Road.
We did not move GUI from the room she requested. However, with a guests permission!!, we will quite often upgrade to a better room for no additional fee. The up grade process always involves the guest seeing pictures and videos of the room being moved to. Again this is only with the guests permission. Also it is crucial that you get a FINAL confirmation from us. It will have "FINAL confirmation" in the subject line. This email tells you how to get to us and how to get checked in !!
The listing was accurate, the neighborhood was very quiet, low key, and so close to the downtown plaza, shops, and restaurants. Parking at the unit was a little challenging, but so nice to leave the car and walk to town.
The location and price of the casita where I stayed was perfect for my needs. The bed was fine, although the pillows left something to be desired. I was there on two extremely hot days and it was difficult to get the place to cool down sufficiently. Again, I was thrilled with the location!
The positive is the location is great and the property manager (not Bruce) upgraded our room because we were quite disappointed with the space we booked. There was no communication before arrival despite many efforts to make contact. We arrived in Santa Fe not knowing where to go and had to wait around for an hour for a property manager to contact us. Once there we were quite disappointed with the space and the inability to connect with a person for guidance. There were two women there who clean the spaces and they were very kind, but had no authority to help us. Overall, my feeling was that the folks running this group of airbnbs are trying to maximize profit with the least amount of labor or any sort of 'extra' expenses (i.e., coffee or tea, extra blankets, etc.). In the end, we enjoyed the location but will not be return costumers.
This is ideally located next to the plaza. Getting in and out was extremely easy. There is a parking spot for a smaller car next to the unit. Priced well. there is a kitchen in the unit.
The internet was very spotty for me. Also bedroom tv was not working at all. Very limited television channels. The unit picture is very accurate furniture wise however appears more dated than in this picture. Bathroom is dated as well.
