  • Nicolas & Jacques were very kind and helpful hosts. We truly enjoyed our stay at their lively and beautiful place in Marrakesh. Breakfast was great and the room was lovely as well. We had been in Marrakesh for a few days already and were glad to be a little further away from the center of the Medina. In hindsight, we should have booked our full stay here, as the people in the neighborhood seem less focused on tourists and you'll see people going about their daily business rather than trying to persuade you to buy something or send you in a certain direction. It was also wonderful that we were able to use the bikes, which is the perfect way to explore the city. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone planning to visit Marrakesh.

  • I had to remind my girlfriend that this isn't a hotel - Jack and Nic do such a good job. A very homely time. While it is in the Medina it's actually very close to a taxi accessible road. We left early one day and they got up especially to give us breakfast. Kind with food, we got up really late some days and they both seemed fine with it. I would really recommend anyone to stay here. It's been my best AirBNB so far. I find it hard to fault anything. I guess the dogs have a lot of energy but when you know they're friendly and on guard for you you're gong to love them and they never came in our room. I could watch the tortoises eating all day!

  • Nicolas/Jacques/Bobby/loubas/ turtles and cat,
Thank you for a wonderful first stay in Marrakech.
Your house is a mini palace in the hot sandy Medina. When we jumped out of the taxi in the dead of night Nicolas was there to greet us and through the hot little dark lanes usherd us into his oasis full of candles opera and plants. It really was Heaven!
The breakfasts were delish- the bikes saved us alot in cab fares. The rooms were comfortable and stylish. Your hospitality and knowledge on the area was priceless. You really made our stay, Jaques even made me some home made ice cream for my birthday. My only advice to you dear reader is to book here NOW!

  • Nicolas and Jacques are wonderful, sincere, kind and very helpful people. Meeting them, staying in their breathtaking Riad and spending time with their wonderful dogs, cat and turtles was one of the highlights for my trip. I actually enjoyed that their riad was further away from the square because you get to see more of everyday life in Marrakech and my best shopping was actually done on the 25mins walk to the square. lots of souks along the way and many of the other attractions like Museums etc...

  • This riad is a very beautiful, cozy and peaceful place to stay when visiting Marrekech. It is nicely decorated and from the moment you walk in you feel at home. Nicolas and Jacques are both very friendly and they will do anything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. They welcome you with a drink, loan you their bikes, offer you a guided tour by bike through the medina, are always in for a chat and they provide you with lots of tips. Also the breakfast they provide you with every morning is great! Freshly squeezed orange juice, homemade jam, warm rolls, fresh fruit, yoghurt and diverse spreads; amazing!
Even if Nicolas and Jacques aren't at home you will be warmly welcomed by their two friendly dogs Bobby and Loebas.
The riad is about ten minutes (by bike) away from the main square Djemaa el Fna and you can reach the souks and other sights like the Koranic school in a few minutes. There are also a lot of good restaurants and roof top terraces in the neighborhood of the riad.
If you go to Marrakech, we highly recommend you to stay with Nicolas and Jacques. They add just that little extra hospitality that makes your trip to Marrakech unforgettable!

  • I couldn't have asked for such great hosts. These gentlemen were very polite and courteous prior to my arrival and continued to do so until the very end. Besides having a beautiful home in Marrakech Nicolas and Jacques (and their two pups) showed me a lovely time. They had breakfast for me every day and shared their experiences in the medina and their lives. They have such a positive energy lies in their home ...just wonderful!

  • Nicholas and Jaques - and the dogs, cat and tortoises - are the perfect hosts. We cannot thank them enough for their kindness. Their house is absolutely beautiful and has been built with love. Perfect place to stay and a great local area away from the city madness. If you are considering a stay then book it without hesitation.

About
We, Jacques and myself live and work in Marrakech for 7 years now. We feel at home in this busteling city and have decided to buy a house four years ago... It is big enough to host people and help them find their way in the crazy medina. I'm working as an architect and after work and in weekends I love cooking, singing, enjoying opera and go for a walk in the countryside or mountains.
