The Space

Stay in Mostar's greatest loft, support a local startup while you're here.

Ours is a top floor apartment with a terrace and beautiful views of the city, around 12 mins' walk from the Old Town/Bridge and 7 mins from the bus/train station.

Our street is named after this country's greatest poet, Aleksa Santic. On it you'll find a microcosm of the world: schools, youth centre and band venue, pool and night club, a radio station, the local chapter of Jehova's Witnesses, the prison, the City Mayor and the drunk guy in front of Merkur.

The loft is a bright, open space with a dining table, work desk, fireplace, air-con, two (double) sofa-beds, a (cable) TV and WIFI. There are two more single mattresses in a little area upstairs, although it's not as comfy up there so you might want to take dibs on sleeping downstairs.

The kitchen is well-equipped (including coffee, tea etc) and the bathroom has a washing machine and fresh towels if you need them. There's also (free) parking in front of the building.

This is an ideal apartment for 2-3 people who appreciate open space and natural light and sleeping well. You'll always sleep well here.

We can also organise for you a tour of Mostar, transfers to/from Sarajevo/Dubrovnik/Split, and anything else that might tickle your fancy while you're in town.

When no-one is staying over, the apartment is a meeting room for Soonfeed, a Mostar-born startup and the first timeline of what's happening online soon. Proceeds from your stay will help us to bring Soonfeed to the world.

  • Great stay. Beautiful big fully equipped apartment with a balcony. Host was Richards friend who was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the town and it's history. Not right in the centre of town, but a very easy short walk to everything.

  • Amer was extremely helpful, and waited at the bus station as I was running late. The apartment is across the river from the bus station, and a 15 minute walk to the old town. The terrace was a nice extra, and the apartment was larger than I expected. There are a number of grocery stores and restaurants nearby, and you're in a great location to explore the sights of Mostar!

  • Amer was a great help, picked us up and dropped us off in Dubrovnik! At first glance, the location of the apartment looks a little sketchy with a prison right across the street. But after walking around a bit, we felt safe. The apartment is close to the old town.

  • We didn't met Richard in person because he was abroad at the time of our trip but we were able to arrange everything without any problem with his friend Amer. He always responded promptly, was helpful and flexible regarding our arrival and departure time.
The apartment itself is spacious, nice and very well located. Not in the heart of the city but very close to the railway and bus station, grocery store and supermarket (however the historic centre is also within walking distance). The view over the city from the terrace is quite impressive (better than what you can see in the advertisement); it's the highest floor so you can see all the valley with bridges over Neretva (not the old one however) and many landmarks in the city centre.
We had an extremely pleasant stay there and can recommend this place to anyone staying in Mostar.

  • Quiet and cozy apartment, close to town and bus/train station.
Greetings to Richard and his friend Amer. You are cool :D
    See you in Mostar again.

  • The flat is located in the center of the city, close to pubs and restaurants. Amer (Richards friend) helped us at our arrival with useful information and suggestions about Mostar. Next to the flat there is a parking. I highly recommend this place

  • The apartment was located close to all sightings in Mostar. The host and his friends was very helpful and easy to communicate with.

  • Richard's loft is about fifteen minutes walking of Mostar Old Town. It's placed in a not very welcoming building nor neighbourhood because the area was being reformed. Anyhow, the appartment was nice, very clean, organised and has an interesting view of Mostar. We only had a small problem with the sofa-bed: we simply couldn't open it, so my girlfriend and me slept in one sofa each other. Richard was not in Mostar at the time but his friend and partner Amer picked us up at the bus station, took us to the loft and even drove us to the Old Town. And it was about midnight! Amer behaved more like a friend and we are very grateful for that. I would recommend the loft for the warming welcoming, the good condition in general and the parking facility -if you go by car. If you don't mind walking 15 minutes to Mostar Old Town, that's your place.

Australian-born, Bosnian roots, living between Brussels and Mostar. Fell in love with Mostar the first time I visited. In Turkish the word "Balkan" means Honey ("bal") and Blood ("kan"). I can think of no better way to describe the place.
