Get away from the hustle and bustle at this cozy, historic summer home. Located in the peaceful countryside on the farm estate of The Homestead on Peanut Road - a beautiful pond on the property and lots of wooded land to explore. Few neighbors and an open sky create a perfect environment for star-gazing on clear evenings.

Perfect for a girls getaway or group of friends.
This listing is for the ENTIRE HOUSE

The space
Originally a summer kitchen for the farm house, this pre-civil war log home has a unique layout and a deck/porch overlooking our beautiful pond.

This home includes:
• Spacious living area with comfy seating and counters to eat at
• Quaint twin bedrooms downstairs with a private shower and sink in each (pocket doors can be closed for privacy or open between if you want a connected space)
• Half bath with toilet and sink
• Kitchenette with coffeemaker, microwave, toaster oven, mini fridge, and one burner
• A cozy loft-style upstairs (sloped ceiling) with a pair of twin beds in one room and a trundle in the other - open floor plan (no door between bedrooms upstairs)

This listing is for the ENTIRE HOUSE.

*There are steep steps to the second floor and sloped ceiling - caution is advised. May not be ideal for elderly guests or very small children.

Guest access
When renting the first floor only, you will have access to two twin bedrooms with private showers (2), office space, living room, kitchenette (with microwave, sink and mini fridge), half bath, and private porch access.

When renting the whole home, you will have access to everything on the first floor plus the two bedrooms upstairs including a trundle bed (2 singles) and a pair of matching standard single beds.

Other things to note
This is a historic home that was built prior to the Civil War. The layout is a bit different than a traditional home as there was not originally an indoor restroom. The Summer House has a private half bath with a toilet and sink. There is also a sink and shower located in each of the two downstairs bedrooms, although we do not rent to more than one family/group at a time, it is worth noting that these amenities are shared by all those staying in the house. The stairs leading to the upper floor are steep and the ceiling is sloped as described in the more detailed sections about the rooms. We have had many stays here and lots of positive notes about our space, but feel these things must be mentioned to avoid any confusion.
