Yellowstone National Park has been a top tourist destination since its opening in 1872. And your WorldMark West Yellowstone is the perfect location for seeing the park's hundreds of geysers (including the world-famous Old Faithful), pools of boiling mud, and an amazing assembly of wildlife, such as bears, wolves, bison, and elk. Yellowstone's west entrance is just one block from your resort.
While the national park is certainly its top draw, West Yellowstone (pop. 1,177) is also an ideal location for skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. The area's backcountry and telemark skiing is considered tops in the nation. You can also discover the town's gift shops, galleries, and specialty stores, and take in a show at the Playmill Theatre downtown.
For inquisitive minds, there are two museums that should not be missed. History buffs should head to the Museum of the Yellowstone, which depicts the area's early days. And The Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center--right across the street from your resort--gives you the chance to learn about these animals up close and personal.
Please note: Motor vehicle traffic is not permitted through Yellowstone National Park's west entrance from early November to late April every year. However, the entrance remains open to hikers and cross-country skiers year-round. The only entrance that remains open year-round to motor vehicles is the north entrance, 50 to 176 miles, depending on the time of year.
Yellowstone National Park
Yellowstone, America’s and the world’s first national park, is a UNESCO World Heritage site located in Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. Within its 3,472 square miles are the geyser Old Faithful, the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, hundreds of geysers and hot springs, and abundant wildlife.
The Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center
A not-for-profit wildlife park and educational facility, the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center has eight grizzly bears, two packs of gray wolves, and six birds of prey that are all unable to live in the wild for different reasons. Learn about the animals through exhibits, as well as by observing them.
Museum of the Yellowstone
Housed in the historic Union Pacific Depot, exhibits on the U.S. Cavalry, trappers, cowboys, and Native Americans show the area’s early days. Displays and videos about the region’s largest earthquake in 1959, and devastating fires in 1988 tell a darker story. The museum is open Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Rey's place is great! I went off season and it was a great, quiet, and clean place to relax. Near the west entrance to Yellowstone and beautiful hiking trails!
We really enjoyed our stay at Rey's place at the Worldmark in W. Yellowstone. Rey lives offsite so we did not meet him. However he was easily available for communication via text or email. The timeshare unit was clean and the kitchen well-equipped for our needs. We walked everywhere we needed to be except for touring the Park. The management at Worldmark was also friendly and helpful. It was a perfect home away from home for a visit to Yellowstone.
Rey was a fabulous host. He responded promptly and was accommodating and helpful. The condo was clean and the location allowed for quick access to the Nordic ski trails.
Very nice overall for the area and for the season. We stayed over Christmas. The place warm despite temps of -30 F outside. The kitchen was very well stocked. There is a pool and hot tub, though they are highly chlorinated. Still nice though.
The Worldmark is used heavily by snowmobilers, so don't be surprised to wake up to whirring gas engines at the crack of dawn.
My girlfriend and I used the cross country ski trails in town (Rendevous) and also in Yellowstone and they were fantastic. Yellowstone in winter is truly a magical experience.
My only gripe would be the wifi. It costs 4.95 per day and it barely works. This was a bit stressful for me as I was on call with my work, but fortunately did not present itself as a major issue in my case. If you require solid wifi... well this place just doesn't have it. If you merely need to check your email it should suffice.
All in all, there are not a lot of options in West Yellowstone with a kitchen. For the price, this is definitely a nice place.
