The wonderful benefit of this home is its closeness to downtown and the Old Mill District with the Amphitheater nearby, just 15 minutes in each direction.
It's also quiet and comfortable and provides the feeling of being in a real home.

The space

Recently remodeled two-bedroom with its vaulted ceilings and bright spacious feeling, has tons of charm and all new amenities!

Each bedroom has a queen size bed, and separate access to the custom-tiled bathroom. The open floor plan blends the kitchen, with its peninsula and bar stools, to the living room with its over-sized sofa and chair.

I don't tend to approve splitting up Friday and Saturday weekend nights, but if it's really important we can work something out. I'll likely charge the Sunday night as a weekend night.

No pets are allowed.

The location is ideal for a short stroll to Sparrow Bakery, Boneyard Brewery, the Taco Stand, the Old Stone Church, and all the rest of downtown Bend and the Old Mill District. Please make yourself at home!

The kitchen comes equipped with the following:
- French Press and 12 cup Coffee Maker
- Microwave
- Toaster
- Dishes, Glasses, Stemware, Silverware
- Large serving bowls
- Stock Pot
- Saute pans, skillets, and sauce pans
- Roasting pans
- Cutting boards, colander
- Pizza dish, cookie tray
- Misc tools: corkscrew, whisk, rubber spatula, grate, can opener, ice cream scoop

NO SMOKING ALLOWED.

Guest access

There is a self check-in with lock box on the back door, so that you may arrive whenever it's convenient and self check-out as well.

There is a washer/dryer for your use in the Cottage next door during the hours of 9-11 and 2-6pm only in order to not disturb the Cottage guests.

Interaction with guests

Very minimal, I'm not the hovering type! But I am always available by text/phone, or email, if there are any problems or if you need anything at all.

The Good: The 2 bedroom apartment unit was beautiful and a perfect size for us and our two college-age children. Walking distance to downtown and the river. We had a small issue (other than that detailed below) with the property and the property manager, Kevin, was extremely responsive. The Bad: We booked this unit 9 months in advance for a family wedding; we had friends book into an adjacent property of Hannah’s as well. About an hour before check-in, we were called and told that both units had been double booked for that night. Kevin (the property manager) was extremely polite and helpful. We talked it over and said that if they could get a decent motel for us within walking distance of the wedding festivities, we could be gracious and allow the other family to retain the units for the night, and not get kicked out for our prior reservations. After some scrambling, he was able to secure us rooms for the night in a budget chain motel. One might have expected at this point that Hannah would have credited back all or part of our money for that night. It would have been the right thing for her to do, as well as good business. Our motel room was clean, but small; our family of four adults was crammed into a single room with two beds, clearly not comparable to the two bedroom apartment (with full kitchen and living room) that we paid for. Additionally there was the inconvenience of having to pack and check out of the motel and into the other property the following day. We considered emailing her to ask about compensation for that night, but eventually decided to let things stand. The Ugly: Our friends staying in the adjacent property did choose to email Hannah about compensation. I have read the email; it was polite, conciliatory, praised Kevin, and stated that they enjoyed the unit for the nights they were able to stay there. Hannah's response was not polite or conciliatory. She chose to post a review to his Airbnb account saying that he was "somewhat threatening", his email seemed "a little like extortion", and "to Future Hosts, be aware that this guest might have more in store for you than you expect." Unbelievable. As mentioned, we have not asked for any money back to this point; the sole source of the negative portion of this review is the poor customer service by the host (not the property manager.) We have notified Airbnb, who was quite supportive, and our friends plan to do the same.

Beautiful apartment in Bend! It's a short walk to all the nice restaurants and coffee shops on Bond St. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely place, solid amenities and central to any and everything you might want to see and do in Bend. The neighborhood is quiet, the amenities provided just right for a basic get-away. Plenty of parking, walkable to downtown, easy check in and check out. Main reason we chose this spot was that we had two couples and wanted two bedrooms with full or larger beds. This was perfect. Thank you Hannah!

I've been a world traveler since my Peace Corps parents got me a passport when I was two years old, and I've been seeking out new adventures ever since. From Ecuador to Geneva and Nepal to Borneo, I'm always game to see a new place, and love being able to share my own home to other travelers passing through. These days I travel with my daughter with whom I am eager to share my love of new cultures and foreign places.
Hope to see you soon!
