The Apartment was very nice and it is in good condition. What was really great was a location, it was near sea only 8 min to walk. There is also a bus Station in front of the house. Katerinas parents were very helpfull and there was cleaning every 3rd day!
Aircondition was there but it is not working very well. The Apartment is bigger then it looks like but it is very dark inside! There is also a noise from the main street!
It is relly nice Apartment and Faliraki is a good city!
Great place. Spacious, well-appointed, stylish. Lovely "patio" for the entrance, surrounded by palm trees and flowers, to enjoy your coffee or wine. Road noise didn't bother us, and having a bus stop just outside the building is super convenient. The building itself was very quiet all the time. Very good big supermarket across the street. Katerina and her father Vassilis are very friendly and welcoming people. They waited for our arrival patiently and always answered all our questions promptly.
Faliraki is a big tourist village - the fact which also has its positive sides, for instance, shops are open 24h, and even around midnight there is still public transportation (buses) available from the city of Rhodes. Faliraki also has some nice places like St.Nectarios church, then a small church in the harbour (spectacular sunsets), and Kathara beach (we didn't like the main beach but Kathara is clean and calm). If you're looking for local experience, go to the small tavern in the Fishing Harbour and share your sardines with a bunch of cats. We also met a great local artist, her small shop is on the road not far from St.Nectarios church, it's called To Magazaki, and things there are made by her and not expensive. Faliraki is a good base to explore the east coast of Rhodes. We went to the city of Rhodes, to Tsambika monastery, to Archangelos and to Lindos, by bus. Buses have AC and are very good, although don't expect them to be always on time, and be prepared to signal to stop the bus even if you're on an official bus stop.
Medieval town of Rhodes is stunning. Try to go away from the main streets and crowds. We've been to a very nice restaurant called Mango bar, on a beautiful square with enormous trees, in front of Retzep Pasa mosque and an old fountain. Aegean Sea is so different from the Mediterranean, so we'd recommend visiting a beach on the west coast - and you can do it just in the town of Rhodes itself, we went to a beach on our way back from the Acropolis and it was a much-needed refreshing.
If you plan to go sightseeing, get up early!! Heat is unbearable, and so are the crowds. We arrived in Lindos at 8 am and had 15 min (!!!) before the first tourist buses arrived. And after another 15 min it was already hard to move around because of tons of tourists.
Greek people are very friendly, talkative, they speak English (and other languages as well!) and they're very religious (so please respect the rules and dress appropriately when entering a church). We truly enjoyed our stay, thank you Katherina!
We had a great four night stay in this charming apartment. It is MUCH bigger than it looks in pictures and the kitchen is well stocked. The location along the road seemed a little worrisome at first, but as long as you are not sleeping during the daytime the noise from the traffic is really not a problem. There are so many beaches to explore on Rhodes, and this is a great place to explore them from!! We would stay her again in a heartbeat!
Katerina was really helpful with replying to messages quickly and accurately. She wouldn't be in the area but her father was. He was very welcoming and gave us a map of places to go and gave us really helpful bus details. He helped us a lot during the trip, he really went above and beyond. The studio was beautiful and is exactly as in the pictures. It was clean and filled with all the necessities you need and more. and is a perfect distance away from Falaraki center, Old Town, Lindos, etc. The beach is less than a 5 minute walk away and is BEAUTIFUL and full of life. This was a wonderful studio, I would definitely stay here again!
Everything was perfect!
Katerina's parents are very friendly and welcoming people :)
Well equipped - kitchen, dishes, coffee maker, kettle, safe, shower, toilet, air conditioning, furniture, fresh linen, fresh towels, there is all that is needed for independent living. Everything works well thought out details and arrange all very convenient and comfortable.
Great location - to get to central beach only 5 minutes walking, near the main east highway of Rhodes, a supermarket, a central street of Faliraki, butcher, pharmacy, best places for food - and lots of other institutions, as well as two steps Sarantis Travel office.
We recommend to visit the highest mountain of Rhodes (accessible by car via Kritinia), Afantu Coast, Lindos Castle, Rhodes Castle, Kritinia Castle, Bee Museum, Kallithea Springs.
