the view from the flat is simply amazing
Fantastic place to be in Venice, at the heart of the city, you can easily move around some of the most typical areas and mingle with the locals, such as Rialto market, and Santa margarita, and San Polo. This house is what we expected, clean and organised, and the terrace is just fantastic!!! We spend most of our evenings dinning with an Aperol spritz and enjoying the Venetian views! If you want to feel like Venice, this is the place. Thanks Sebas!
Venice is a gem of a city with much to offer the visitor. We needed a base for 3 nights for our family of four and this very well located apartment fitted the bill. We had various late night flight delays on our arrival but Lidia (who looks after the property) was very accommodating and kind walking us to the property.
Our block was set off a small quiet square with canal side access. The apartment was a good size and its best feature was undoubtedly the roof terrace with striking views across the city. The many windows to the living area ensured good cross ventilation on scorching nights. The apartment is at the top of a large set of stair flights if this is a problem for anyone. The main bedroom was very generous, the living area nicely linked to the terrace. The kitchen was small and functional. The second bedroom (for the kids) was squeezed under the roof eaves and was adequate for a short stay, but would feel restrictive over a longer stay. Crucially the velux roof light was inoperable and this really compromised the ventilation so much so that we moved the kids mattresses to the better ventilated living room. A second small WC/washing machine room off the second bedroom was a bonus. The main bathroom was huge, but is now aging and some of the suite is due for replacement or renovation (and a good clean). A minor point, but something that irked: more than one roll loo paper would have been preferable!
Overall we would recommend this apartment primarily for the location, terrace and views for shorter city breaks but aspects of it are a little tired and in need of some attention.
Fantastic apartment in a lovely part of Venice. Our host met us and walked us to apartment and was very helpful. Perfect location.
Perfect location, clean, cozy and spacious. And the top, the terrace !!
Highly commendable place to stay if you plan visiting Venise
This was the nicest place we stayed on our trip through Italy. Two levels allow you space between where you sleep and where you hang out. The best part is the balcony overlooking the canal. There is wireless internet, even though it is not in the listing (nice bonus). The location is very central and it is near good places to eat and a grocery store. The apartment had everything we needed to feel comfortable. There were only two of us so there was plenty of space in the main bedroom, but I could see how it would be tough for more people as the top bedroom has a very low ceiling. The downstairs toilet did not flush very well, but the upstairs one worked fine.
Lidia was very welcoming and met us to show the place. Check-in/Check-out was very easy. There was a $20 cleaning fee that we had to pay in person, but they were very clear about this before they accepted the reservation.
I would highly recommend staying here if you visit Venice.
