About This Listing
Single room with two spacious drawers under bed, single wardrobe, blanket box, locker and three deep storage drawers
I love to welcome foreign visitors to my home, which is warm and comfortable, and has an enclosed back garden with a lawn, pond and shrubbery as well as seating areas.
I'm within 7 minutes' walk to public transport (bus or train) and the coast, where there are lovely walks. My home is six miles from Dublin city centre, which is 15 minutes away by train and I'm close to all public amenities. There's a small shopping centre with all essentials just 2 minutes' walk away. The neighbourhood is quiet and the neighbours are friendly.
I live 20 minutes' drive from the airport, making it an ideal location for a stopover on the way to or from the airport.
I enjoy walking, cycling, cooking, having friends over, reading, board games, cinema and theatre. I have a long-standing ambition to take dance classes and this year have added Spanish classes to my bucket list ... one of these days!
No curfew but please be respectful of others after 11pm
My stay with Ruth was my first Airbnb experience - and I loved it! From my initial interaction via the Airbnb website Ruth has been fantastic. The room is exactly as pictured and her home is just that - a home away from home! Ruth is friendly and fun, with a great knowledge of her local area and also Dublin. I cannot speak highly enough about the location of the property, nor how comfortable Ruth made my stay in Dublin. Highly recommended!
Ruth hosted us in a professional way. She was helpful and very welcoming, ensuring that we are comfortable. The room we had was spacious, clean and cosy. We used also the kitchen (wich is very clean and have everything you need), especially to eat a breakfast. The dining room has big windows and you have nice view on the garden. We spent some time in the evening to chatting together or watching TV. The neighbourhood is really peacefull, homely and good place to start some trips along the coast (we recommend Howth, Bray and Wicklow). We really enjoyed this time.
Ruth was a lovely host! She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as good as can be. It was very easy to communicate with her and all of her instructions were clear. We had a fantastic time staying in her house.
Compared to my previous AirBnB experiences which were very good as well staying at Ruth's home was the best experience I`ve ever had. Ruth is a very hospitable, amicable and reliable person. She was helpful all the time and did everything to make my stay as pleasent as possible. I stayed in one of her lovely rooms having a great view to Howth. The house is very clean and charming. It is really close to the Kilbarrack DART station, the next supermarket is just across the street. The neighbourhood is a very safe place and you can even walk to the coast in less than 10min. I can highly recommend Ruth and her home both for a long-term and a short-term stay. If I would return to Dublin once again this will be my first choice.
Well.... how can words describe a simply unforgettable stay. Let's start with the more than truthfull description of the house. Everthing was perfectly fine and clean. The DART Station is easy to reach within a 6min walk ( even in 4min when you're like me late every time). The shops are just cross the street and offer everything for your daily shopping.
The area is lovely and near to Bull Island. The neighbours are very friendly and helpful.
Ruth is the most gentle person I've ever met. She's simply wonderful and I spent the most fantastic time in her house. I found a friend for a lifetime in her.
If you want to have a perfect stay in Dublin, don't hestitate to book.
Thanks so much Janine, I absolutely loved having you to stay and enjoyed your company very much. You brought so much life and laughter to my home during the past five months and I enjoyed all our chats and musings on life. Sorry I got delayed in leaving you a review, going to try and do it now ... a little late!
Ruth was so adorable, very kind and she helped to manage our trip in Ireland. Her home was very confortable, clean and charming. The neighborhood is really peaceful and every public transport is near (about 5 minutes by walk for Dart and the bus). We enjoyed staying there one week and surely going to come back the next time we'll be in Ireland. Thank you so much Ruth for this great week in Ireland.
About the Host, Ruth
I was born and raised in Dublin and although I really enjoy travelling and experiencing other cultures, it's always good to come home again. I love spending time with friends and family (including my ten nieces and nephews), walking, cycling, travelling, reading, movies, theatre, cooking, trying new things, and hosting international guests. I look forward to welcoming you to my home :)
