The Space

I love to welcome foreign visitors to my home, which is warm and comfortable, and has an enclosed back garden with a lawn, pond and shrubbery as well as seating areas.

I'm within 7 minutes' walk to public transport (bus or train) and the coast, where there are lovely walks. My home is six miles from Dublin city centre, which is 15 minutes away by train and I'm close to all public amenities. There's a small shopping centre with all essentials just 2 minutes' walk away. The neighbourhood is quiet and the neighbours are friendly.

I live 20 minutes' drive from the airport, making it an ideal location for a stopover on the way to or from the airport.

I enjoy walking, cycling, cooking, having friends over, reading, board games, cinema and theatre. I have a long-standing ambition to take dance classes and this year have added Spanish classes to my bucket list ... one of these days!

  • Ruth is a really nice and friendly person! She did everything to make my stay as pleasant as possible and helped me a lot finding the interesting place in and around Dublin. The house is great place to stay, as it really provides a warm and relaxing atmosphere with a small, but lovely garden. Its location is perfect for visiting Dublin by taking the DART train (20 min to the center), but also for discovering some of its surroundings (e.g. Howth or nearby Saint Anne's Park and Bull Island). To sum up, I would always stay with Ruth again and I appreciated to spend time in this friendly home.

  • I had a lovely stay there. Ruth is a very nice and caring person who always makes sure that her guests are fine. When I made a mistake with my booking she let me stay for another night without charging me for that and she helped me to move to my new accomodation the next day.
The place is great. There is a supermarket around the corner and it is close to the train station so you can get to the city centre quickly. There is a nice little terrace where I could have a cigarette in the evening and chat with the other guests who are very nice and open-minded people as well.

  • Ruth's been a wonderful host. She's kind and makes everybody feel at home. The place is really warm like it says in the title and has everything you might need so you don't need to worry about anything.

  • This was a fantastic place to stay. Ruth is very kind and very helpful with information about the Dublin area. The home is cozy and quiet and very easy to get to from the DART. We would certainly stay there again if we get back to Dublin.

  • Having stayed in numerous B&Bs across the world over twenty years, I can say that Ruth's place was about the nicest ever. I certainly recommend that you stay there.

  • We were lucky enough to be Ruth's first AirBNB guests. I would recommend her without any hesitation. Her home was lovely! She was a delight to talk to. She really went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of. Ruth represents the kind of person you hope will be your host. Her home is in a great location - not far from the airport or the city centre. I have to say that her picture is not accurate; the room is actually much larger than it looks.

About
I was born and raised in Dublin and although I really enjoy travelling and experiencing other cultures, it's always good to come home again. I love spending time with friends and family (including my ten nieces and nephews), walking, cycling, travelling, reading, movies, theatre, cooking, trying new things, and hosting international guests. I look forward to welcoming you to my home :)
