The Space

Hi there! We are renting out the extra bedroom in our warm and cozy North Park Slope apartment.

About us: William is a project manager at an architecture firm and Liz is an event planner for a media company. We love cooking, exploring new areas, good food, wine and beer, and meeting new people. We both went to college in Charleston, South Carolina, though William will be quick to tell you he's originally from the 'burbs of Detroit (a city he's borderline obsessed with!). We moved from Manhattan to Park Slope two years ago and absolutely love the neighborhood. Overall, we are clean, respectful and easygoing. We just recently added a new member to our little family - our rescue pup, Biscuit! He is a super sweet and quiet little hound mix and is crated during the day while we're at work. We have a dog walker who stops by between 12 - 2 every week day to take Biscuit on a walk.

The location: The apartment is located a few blocks from the Barclay's Center, directly off an amazing stretch of 5th Avenue with great bars and restaurants, less than a block from the Union Street R train stop on the subway, and down the street from the Grand Army Plaza farmer's market and Prospect Park. Basically, it's a fantastic location, and very safe!

The space: The bedroom is small, but has a full size bed and open closet for your use; linens and towels are also provided. You are also more than welcome to the kitchen and living spaces.

Please note that we both work 9-6pm Monday-Friday, and so during the week cannot check in new guests until 7pm or later. If there is an extenuating circumstance, let us know and we can potentially come up with another solution. On the weekends we are very flexible.

We are more than happy to provide suggestions for restaurants, sightseeing, etc. before and during your stay! Don't hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.

We hope to see you soon!

  • We had really great time in NYC! William & Liz' apartment's location was the perfect place where to start visiting the hidden side of NY also: Park Slope and its flea mkts, Prospect Park, Coney Island, Williamsburg, Greenpoint... The house is not too big but our hosts provided us everything we needed to feel like at home, expecially some tip and their funny little friend's company Biscuit :)

  • William and Liz have a lovely and cozy apartment conveniently located near to transit. They were out of town most of the time we were visiting, but they were very friendly when we had a chance to chat. We would definitely recommend William and Liz's home to any friends looking for a place to stay in Brooklyn!

  • William and Liz were amazing hosts. They were really friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. The apartment is in a really good location close to a subway station, plenty of shops and a cool bar across the road. The bed was comfortable and the living areas clean. We would definitely stay with Liz and William again if we returned to New York.

  • William and Liz were great hosts. They were very friendly, open, and accommodating and the room was in excellent condition. Of course the best part was Biscuit the Dog. I highly recommend them.

  • This was my second stay with William and Liz and--as with my last stay--it could not have been better. Even had a night out with William for some great ribs at the Dino Barbeque just around the corner and met a couple of his friends. We had a great time. Liz was gone for most of my stay, but when she returned she was as welcoming and friendly as ever. Can't recommend these guys or this space enough. Location couldn't be better, space is just as advertised. And Biscuit is a wonderful dog, after some initial nervousness on his part, we became fast friends!

  • Liz and William are excellent hosts, both kind and respectful. William even agreed to meet us at his place of business so that we could get the keys from him and avoid carrying our luggage around NYC. They have a nice apartment that is snug, but suitable for two travelers. It is conveniently located near public transportation into manhattan and an easy walk from many nice spots in Brooklyn. Would definitely stay in this space again.

  • I just completed a 5 night stay at William and Liz's place in Park Slope and give it my highest recommendation. Neither William nor Liz were in town when I arrived, but they had overnighted me the keys so I could let myself in and were very communicative throughout the first couple days of my stay through text and phone. William called as soon as I had arrived to make sure everything was fine. And it was. Plenty of towels, clean, comfortable. He directed me to the WiFi settings and the cable was easy to figure out. Unfortunately, I got sick while I was there--but both he and Liz were quite tolerant of my coughing. We only overlapped a couple of nights, but was very glad to meet them both.

In short, I had one of my best AirBnB experiences with William and Liz and highly recommend them for you.
