St. Augustine, the oldest city in Florida, is only 35 miles south of Neptune Beach and a great place to walk along cobblestone streets, enjoy a horse drawn carriage ride or spend the afternoon at the Alligator Farm and look up! A variety of birds may be seen in the trees above the alligators, building their nests, feeding their chicks and some of us have been lucky enough to actually watch them hatch! Great for photographers!
Come visit beautiful North Florida!
Please be respectful of my property. I love my house and you will, too!
Smoking is allowed in the downstairs screened porch or outside.
Marsha's place was exactly what i was looking for!... Beautifully landscaped....quiet neighborhood,.. My own bathroom.. Sun porch... Living room And my own bedroom!
Everything was super clean... And nice nice bed linens.... Soft... Not cheap and scratchy!
She also provided me a bike w helmet/ lock if needed.
Marsha was a wonderful host and incredibly hospitable. We very much enjoyed our time staying at her home.
I apologize to Marsha for putting off this review. Just forgetfulness on my part.
I really wish we could have spent more time here, her home and setting was beautiful and it is definitely on our list to return.
Marsha was real accommodating in her home. Coffee, fruit ant treats provided in the morning. The bed was real comfortable as was the den and the Florida room. Just staying in her home and not going anywhere else would be a great vacation. Marsha has a small piece of nature and beauty in her back yard. If her home is available for your stay in this area don't pass it up.
Marsha was very welcoming. We didn't have much free time during our trip, so we actually didn't cross paths with her much, but we felt very much at home.
Marsha is a lovely and welcoming hostess, and her home is a great place to stay while visiting the beach. I had a great vacation and hope to return. Thank you, Marsha!
Marsha was a wonderful host which is consistent with all the excellent reviews she has received from previous guests. Her home was very nice at the end of a quite residential road. She provided us with great suggestions while we stayed at her home. We went to Amelia island and she suggested using the local ferry which turned into a great time saver. We used the ferry all three days to get to Amelia Island. When we arrived at her home after showing us our first floor rooms we enjoyed wine and cheese that she had waiting for us. Overall it was an awesome experience and Marsha is a wonderful host who added a lot to our weekend. This was our first Airbnb experience and it greatly exceeded my expectations.
Thank you for everything Marsha!
This place is a treasure! First and foremost, Marsha was a most gracious, helpful and generous host- thank you so much for taking such good care of us in your lovely house.
When we arrived we were welcomed with a bottle of wine. Each morning Marsha made us perfect French press coffee, and every day there was fresh fruit, snacks and water available. One night she even invited us to share some great homemade chili. She loaned us beach chairs, towels, even hats. She was always helpful, but never intrusive- we had as much privacy as we wanted but Marsha was available when needed.
The guest space is very comfortable and super clean- and much more than just a bedroom. There is comfortable, firm bed in the bedroom , a separate sitting room, a private bath, and a lovely private screened porch that looks out on the spectacular tropical garden. Very peaceful and private. The house location was very convenient to beaches (10 minute drive), shops and restaurants.
We had a terrific stay and hope to return next year.
