We are convenient to local tourist sites in Virginia and DC and only 7 min walk from Ballston Metro on the Orange line. There are bus stops right at the end of the street if needed.

When you are closer to home, enjoy our lovely neighborhood. We live in a quiet family-friendly area, the kind of place where people walk their dogs, kids play in their front yards and people say hello from their porches.
If needed this private room can be rented for either days, weeks, months or even on a yearly basis. We also have another bedroom listed which is much larger with a queen sized bed.
The room has a nice sized closet, lamp, bed, dresser, nightstand, desk and a chair. There is plenty of light and two windows in the room as well. This specific room's bathroom is shared with only one other room which is on the same floor. The other floors have their own shared bathrooms.
While we'd like to have you come stay with us, please note that the listed price is per one person per room. There's a $20.00 charge for an additional person per day.

I had a wonderful experience with Catherine as my host. Everything as stated in her posting about the room/accommodation was accurate. I was able to get to the Ballston Metro in minutes; there were delicious eateries within a 5 minute walking distance as well. Catherine was kind enough to suggest great places to eat and visit during my stay. She even drove me to a meeting because the weather was bad and she didn't want me to be in the rain waiting for the bus.
The room was very clean and so was the bedding and bathroom. I could smell the freshness in the room and on the linen. I can go on and on about the little things she did to make her guests welcome; suffice it to say that she is more than accommodating to each of her guests.
As a person, Catherine is a kind woman with a witty sense of humor. She is a pleasure. You will not go wrong by choosing her as your host.
Catherine is very kind. She gave me a ride to house and drove to the airport. The room is clean, bed is comfortable. Very close to some place such as grocery store, restaurants and metro station. My experience in D.C. was great. Thank you Catherine.
I stayed with Catherine for two months during my internship in DC and I couldn't have had a better accomodation. The stay was just perfect. The room was spacious, bright and warm and I had a lovely big and comfortable bed. As I was working a lot Catherine was so kind to do my washing and she sometimes even offered me some of her delicious food. Otherwise the kitchen is well equipped and there is plenty of space in the fridge. The internet access is very quick and there are plenty of TV channels.
The house is about 10 minutes from Ballston metro, so commuting into the city is very convenient. Catherine as a host is lovely. She picked me up from the airport and offers you rides, if you need them. I really felt welcomed and enjoyed my stay very much. I can only recommend Catherines home! I am sure you will enjoy your stay just as much as I did.
My host is the sweetest person. She went out of her way daily to make me feel at home.
Catherine is a great host. She gives valuable information, and looks for ways in which she can make the stay better.
The description of the house was accurate, though it was a bit messier than the pictures (nothing serious). Catherine accepted my booking, even though I was leaving on Thanksgiving day and it was a hard date. She also gave me a few recommendations of local spots for dinner.
