The room has a nice sized closet, lamp, bed, dresser, nightstand, desk and a chair. There is plenty of light and two windows in the room as well. This specific room's bathroom is shared with only one other room which is on the same floor. The other floors have their own shared bathrooms.

The place is nice, clean and comfortable, and was conveniently located for my visit. The host was easygoing and accommodating.
The pictures should probably be updated to more accurately reflect what the living room looks like now.
Catherine was a great host. Very friendly and helpful. My room was as advertised and the house was conveniently located close to Ballston metro. I would be happy to stay here if I visit DC again.
Catherine was extremely welcoming and friendly, very flexible and helpful and introduced me to the others staying in her place. The house is well located, about 10 minutes walk from Ballston Metro, near very nice restaurants (like Pupatella). The bedroom was clean and bed fine. The living room is a bit cluttered, but usable. There was a TV set in my room but I did not use it. The bathroom is shared with another guest. The bathroom window did not have a curtain and it looks onto the back stairs. That was a bit odd, but if you close the window and run hot water, the steam soon provides sufficient cover.
Great room, very clean and well organized. Clean towel and clean bathroom. Catherine was a great host, although didn't meet her. She coordinated stuff through another occupant. I had a super busy schedule so things worked out well for me.
Only downside -- the living room and kitchen are unbelievably cluttered with stuff unlike the posted pictures which look clean. This didn't affect me but the pictures are inaccurate due to that...
Yes I did not meet Mr. Shail this time because I was working. I have explained to the guests that I am able to meet that though the guest rooms are ready, clean and very very well organized. I am still renovating the rest of the home so most the things are temporarily in the kitchen and living room. Should be over soon and you are always welcome.
Catherine is the perfect host. The room was clean and comfortable and Catherine encouraged full use of the kitchen. She have me lots of help with directions and advice about the area.
