  • Big Bright 1 bedroom in Park Slope, was really lovely. Lori, the host had the apartment clean and organized with information on how everything in her space works, very helpful, very informative. The location was perfect, close to many nice shops and restaurants. The apartment provided plenty of space for my daughter and I to relax and feel completely comfortable. For the price, this was an incredible value! I would highly recommend it!

  • I went to Brooklyn to visit my brother, who lives just a few blocks away so the location was perfect for me. It's a nice, big apartment in a nice building.

Lori met me there to give me the keys and show me around. She even left me some breakfast snacks, which was very sweet. She left thorough instructions for everything (wifi, Roku, etc) as well as recommendations for stores and restaurants nearby. It's a great neighborhood and the apartment is well located for everything you need and close to the subway so you can go anywhere. I basically just slept and showered there. A comfy bed and a clean bathroom and i was happy. I'd love to stay there again in nice weather, though, because it has a small, private deck, which looked great!

The only caveat is that this is not the quietest location and the bedroom faces the street. It's city living. She does have a noise generator but I just used the app on my iphone and it was fine. Enjoy!

  • A very nice, centrally located apartment near lots of trains, restaurants and bars. Good sized bedroom, relaxing living room, and easy to use kitchen. My mom who stayed there was particularly impressed by the shower, since it was far superior to the one in my apartment a few blocks away. Lori was very responsive and helpful with getting us the keys and answering any questions. My mom's only complaint was noise because the bedroom faces the street - but as a New Yorker, I can tell you the noise is on the low-end - I would just suggest that if you are used to sleeping in absolute quiet to bring some ear plugs but that is required packing for anywhere in the city.

  • Such a cute and spacious place! Didn't get a chance to meet Lori, but she mailed us keys before our stay. Apartment is in a really nice building just a few blocks away from a subway stop, many cafes, and Prospect Park is within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again!

  • Lori was a great host. We didn't get a chance to meet but she send us the keys to Italy.
the apartment was really nice and cozy. The bedroom was brighter and seems bigger than the photos.
The neighbourhood is great - just a few blocks to the subway and 20 minutes to manhattan.

    It was a great experience.

  • This is the second time I've stayed at Lori's place and once again, it was great. It's always spotlessly clean and somehow warm and inviting at the same time. Comfy bed, great kitchen, fantastic location: can't be beat. Lori was very understanding and welcoming despite us getting in at 3 AM after a stressful drive in from Montreal! Thanks again Lori!

  • Lori was a great host! She was really helpful and friendly always when we needed something. Her apartment is just like the pictures, very cosy, clean and spacious. The neighborhood has everything you could need, and her street is calm (even on weekdays) and secure. There is a metro station just two blocks away, from where you can get easily to Manhattan in about 30 minutes. My girlfriend and I had a realy great time in Brooklyn!

  • A delightful stay in Brooklyn in a great neighborhood! Lori is a good host and although we didn't meet, I felt well taken care of. Everything was in order and as described. Very comfortable and cute apartment.

  • Lori was really helpful making arrangements for pick-up key with my daughter and providing info about apartment. The apartment is in a safe, well located neighborhood. It was clean and comfortable and spacious enough for me and my husband. I would definitely return.

  • My fiancé and I stayed at Lori's over the New Year's holiday 2012-2013. We
are both from Brooklyn, but currently living in SF, and I was pleased to
find out Lori was from SF too. She was very responsive to questions and
concerns before we got to Brooklyn. Although she wasn't in Brooklyn at the
time, we had no trouble coordinating the key transfer (she actually had to
mail them to my mom's house in Chicago, as that's where we stopped for
    Christmas before heading to Brooklyn).

Lori's apartment was clean, spacious, and homey. She left fresh towels and
sheets out for us, and had little notes in the kitchen describing where to
find stuff for coffee, etc. She both emailed me and left a printout of
instructions and a list of places to eat nearby in the living room.

I had a bit of trouble connecting to her wireless internet at first, and
texted Lori for troubleshooting. She was quick to respond and helped me get
it up and running in no time. Very helpful!

My favorite part of Lori's apartment by far were her books. Over our stay I
read all of her Junot Diaz books, and accidentally left one of my own books
at her apt, which I decided she could keep in kind :) I hope to stay at her
apartment again during my next Brooklyn adventure. Thanks!
