About this listing
This large, bright, south facing studio in the heart of the Swiss Apls, sits on a sunny terrace at 1500m. It has sweeping views across the Rhone Valley. There is a bedroom area (separated from the living room by glass doors), kitchen and shower room.
High speed internet
Spa and wellness
This newly opened spa (2012) offers a large indoor / outdoor pool with thermal areas, treatment rooms, saunas, steam rooms and jacuzzis etc.
Anzere offers a wide range of slopes and trails for downhill and cross-country skiers, snowboarders and winter hikers. I love this resort for it quiet slopes and plenty of fresh powder.
Over Christmas and New year there is a 6 night minimum booking period, as it is high season.
Anzère also has fantastic walking country with lakes, dams and tours along historic irrigation channels known as suonen. There are great wine tour through the valley from Martigny to Sion. Take the train or cycle from vineyard to vineyard.
As I don't live at the apartment full-time, I need to arrange for them to be supplied by my estate agent, Novagence, they charge CHF25 per person, per booking. I have included this charge in the cleaning and service costs.
Check in is flexible if there isn't a booking, before or after your booking. But generally check in time is 15:00, check out is 11:00. You can always contact me if you have special requirements.
The keys can be picked up and dropped off from my estate agents in the village (Novagence). There is a key box outside their office, for those arriving late.
Anzere is just under 2 hours drive from Geneva Airport. And 2.5 hours from Milan. Both go past great lakes and mountains
You can also take a train from Geneva airport to Sion (2 hours), then take a bus or a taxi up to Anzere. (website hidden).
In some case, if you are arriving late on public transport, I will arrange for you to pick up the key at the apartment,
As well as the Spa there are numerous bars and restaurants to choose from. Some of our favourites include:
Pizzeria de la Poste - Stone fired pizzas
Le Grand Roc - A quirky bar and restaurants usually full of locals
The Peter Pan - You have to go to see Anya the bar owner.
It is about a 30 Mins drive from the resort of Crans-Montana and an hour from Verbier, Nendaz and the rest of the 4 Vallées. Great for a day trip.
The town is walkable but there is also a free ski bus in the winter and a regular bus between Sion and Anzere, that stops just up the road.
Other Things to Note
There is a local tourist tax of Fr. 2.50 per night per adult, half price for children from 6.-16 years of age. Less than 6 is free. You'll need to pay this when you arrive to the estate agent.
We stayed in Rebecca's appartment for 8 nights and we could easily find our way. It's excactly as it is on the pictures, a light and pleasant place. We never had better vieuws on the mountains as here. The road we found rather busy and noisy. We made some very nice hikes in the mountains. The wineyards very also quite spectalucair.
Rebecca was prompt in responding to our reques and in giving us the information we needed to check in. The apartment was beatiful with a beautiful view. All the necessities were available and the apartment was very comfortable nd convenient. We enjoyed the town of Anzere, which was very quiet due to it being the off season. Loved it and would definaely go back.
We got all the needed information from Rebecca on how to get to the place, get the keys and find nearby restaurants and Coop.
The place was very nice and reflected the listing.
The neighborhood is great. We were there in summer season, for nature and walking trails (not for skiing). We took walks on all different little roads in different directions and were happy with what we got. The views of the mountains and valley, the sound of cow bells (my favorite) and the sweeping clouds and descending fog were wonderful.
Stayed here for a week. It's a beautiful place. The best part is the view that you can see from everywhere in the apartment. The apt is compact, well-laid out, well-designed has every amenity you need. Rebecca was very warm and welcome. All the communication and information was efficient and clear. There are lots of great thermal baths an hour's drive away - definitely recommend renting a car!
This place is a dream come true. Beautifully chic and clean apt, and absolutely amazing view from the balcony! My wife and I ate all our meals there - it was like a dream! Location is secluded (way up the mountainside), yet you're about 3 min away from a nice small town center (Anzere) which has a great grocery store, cafe, and tourist center with hiking maps and other info. I would highly recommend this place!
The apartment was clean and had a stunning view with a balcony. Great experience, definitely recommended.
My husband and I had an amazing time here. Both the apartment and the town were incredible. We woke up, ate, lived, and fell asleep to an absolutely stunning view.
The apartment was very clean - from the shower to the silverware. Rebecca was very friendly and helpful. Public transportation to the apartment was reliable and easy to access.
I would highly recommend this apartment. Both it and the entirety of Anzere are an absolute dream.
About the Host, Rebecca
I love the contrast of living in central London and the Alps. The air in Anzere in like champagne. As an interface designer, I spend a lot of time in front of a computer. Getting out to the mountains to go boarding or walking is the perfect antidote.
