Interaction with Guests
We rent our entire property so we will not be staying there at all during our Guest's stay. We try our best to meet the Guest when they move in to show them around and at the end to collect the keys. However, we also have a secure process to exchange keys even when we cannot meet, and we have a series of videos that we share access to in order to introduce you to our home. We're always available 24/7 by email, text or phone during your stay. Some guests like to interact a lot, asking for recommendations on restaurants, kid's activities, local outdoor activities, etc. Others we hear from at the beginning and then the end only. Whatever the Guest prefers!

The City of Mountain View is one of five Bay Area cities participating in the Bay Area Bike Share Program launched in 2013. The system enables members (24 hour, 3-day, and annual memberships available) to check out a bike from a network of automated stations, ride to their destination, and return the bike to a different station. It provides a convenient and affordable transportation alternative or supplement to cars.
Mountain View's seven bicycle stations are located near the following transit, employment, and service/retail destinations. I have also indicated in parenthesis, the distance of each station from our home.
*Mountain View Transit Center (0.3 miles)
*City Hall (0.4 miles from our home)
*Castro Street/El Camino Real (0.7 miles)
*Evelyn Avenue Light Rail Park-N-Ride (0.6 miles)
*San Antonio Shopping Center (2.0 miles)

Anne and Mike were terrific hosts! They were super responsive to me and my family, and they went the extra mile to ensure that we had a comfortable stay in their lovely home. My two-year-old was with us, and Anne and Mike provided a high chair, as well as a wonderful play room and backyard to keep the kiddo entertained and amused. The home was much larger than the photos depicted it and had a wonderful charm to it. We walked to downtown Mountain View several times and never got tired of how convenient and lovely the stroll was. Great neighborhood, great home and great hosts!
Anne and Mike were excellent hosts. I stayed in their home for a few days with some colleagues while traveling to Mountain View for business. Mike greeted us upon arrival in the evening, showed us around and instantly made us feel at home. The house is comfortable -- everyone slept well, we cooked and ate in the kitchen and enjoyed the back patio. The location is also perfect, just a few blocks from downtown MV (we walked to the main street every day) and the train if you need that for tranportation.
When you stay here, don't forget to try the fresh eggs and a lime from the lime tree!
Beautiful home conveniently located just a few blocks from downtown. Mike and Anne were gracious and accommodating hosts. Highly recommended!
The reservation was canceled 71 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
My family spent a week at Mike and Anne's place while I was on a business trip in the area. The location is simply unbeatable - easy walking distance to the shops on Castro St and the corporate shuttles, and the house has a great cost California feel. My girls loved the hot tub!
My husband, our 2year old son and I stayed at Mike and Anne home for the Christmas and `new Years period. We had a very good time there – the house is in a great location, convenient to downtown Mountain View, and is very nicely set up for kids. My son enjoyed backyard ground and two chickens))) The house is very well equipped, has everything that a family needs! Mike was extremely helpful: he explained how everything worked in detail and was answering all my questions very quick, although he and his family was traveling very far. I would highly recommend this house to everyone who wants to have a comfortable stay in Silicon Valley!
Anne and Mike have a lovely home and were incredibly accommodating. My family and I had our thanksgiving dinner there and they had everything we needed, including a brand new folding table they bought just for the occasion (thanks again for that!)
Even though it seems this is their full time residence, the house is very clean and tidy and not cluttered at all. I highly recommend this home.

Anne and Mike have been a couple since meeting at the University of Michigan in 1986. We love to travel and have lived in France, Japan, and China. We also had the pleasure of taking 18 months to travel the world in 1998 and 1999, visiting 15+ countries on a very low budget. We settled in beautiful Mountain View, CA in 2000 and have two active boys (7 and 9 years old).
We have rented people's places on some of our world travels and our goal is always to leave the house just as we found it.
