Airstream Safari 23 foot Trailer. Minutes from wine country. Country fresh eggs, organic garden and quiet just 30 minutes from San Francisco. Coffee, continental breakfast and other amenities included. All the comforts of home: TV with DVD, Stereo, Radio, Running Water, Heat, Air, and a comfy bed. Public transportation nearby. Best suited for not more than 2.
Come enjoy the San Francisco bay area in all its majestic glory. From SFO (San Francisco International Airport) the Marin Airporter brings you within a couple miles of our chic “Twinkie” stream. Then, a short cab ride and you’ll be enjoying all the comforts these classic travel trailers have to offer. Driving is also easy from any direction and having your own car makes for easier access and sightseeing in our area.
Equipped with a gas stove, microwave, refrigerator and electric appliances, you can prepare light bites or dine out--taking advantage of the wide array of fresh, local cuisine. And, in season, you’re welcome to enjoy some fresh picked produce from our organic garden (and orchard in coming years). As well, a new large Whole Foods, Trader Joes and Safeway are just ten minutes away. One of the best farmers' markets in the country takes place each Thursday and Sunday at Marin Civic Center.
You can step out the door and take a lovely walk around the neighborhood or venture further to one of a multitude of hiking trails. If you’ve got your bike along, sprawling flat areas abound as do the more difficult; windy-curvy-hilly options. A lovely drive to the beach at Point Reyes, past the Cheese Factory for some tasting of French cheeses like Camembert or brie is one of our favorites. Or, just read and/or relax in our expansive yard. Watching a movie from an in trailer private collection might catch your fancy . Bird watching right here on the premises is our daily entertainment with such exquisite specimens as Barn Owls and White-tailed Kites. We have a wide array of books covering Bay Area activities, sights and history as it’s too numerous to mention here all there is to do. For the auto/motorcycle racing enthusiast, it’s ten minutes to Sonoma Raceway (formerly Infineon Raceway). (website hidden) Wine tasting beckons both close and at greater distance. Golf anyone? Well, there are three local courses to satisfy you. And, we must mention, within 20 minutes you can enjoy a concert at the new world class Weill Hall at Sonoma State in Rohnert Park. With an extra comfort layer added to the mattress and cozy quality bedding, you should sleep like a baby. The affordable silver style of this trailer makes “camping” all the more civil and comfortable. Come join us!
We will coordinate access, preferably by text message, just before your arrival.
Interaction with Guests
We have busy schedules and interact with our guests at their and our discretion/level of comfort.
Peaceful, rural, bucolic and natural yet close (a few minutes by car) to town and many world renown attractions.
Car is most convenient but there is public transportation that when arranged, will bring you right to our home. Also, there are buses to and from San Francisco and SFO as well as a ferry to San Francisco (you will need to drive or take public transportation to the airporter and ferry).
Other Things to Note
Due to the size of this trailer, not more than two will be comfortable.
Neighbor at beginning of our private drive likes to be left alone. Otherwise, just a clean and quiet respite.
A very pleasant weekend getaway, love the trailer, cute and cozy and a nice place to stay while exploring wine country. Susan was very accommodating to our schedule and a great host all around. Thanks!
Susan was very welcoming, with some delicious carrots from her garden, as well as continental breakfast the next morning. We arrived slightly earlier than she thought we would and she was still prompt in preparing the beautiful Airstream space for us. This experience made us want one of these awesome trailers too!
Susan went above and beyond, exceeding expectations with her airstream. What a cool spot to overnight! She had snacks, breakfast, music playing, and gave me a great orientation to the airstream and how everything worked. I got some work done, watched a movie, slept great, and took a super easy commute into the city. Definitely would stay again and most definitely recommend.
The space was very nice and in a beautiful setting. The host was amazing. Snacks and breakfast in the fridge - very thoughtful. Thank you!
Susan's place is great and in a great location! We spent a weekend up there bouncing between wineries, using Uber and Lyft to get around and had a great time. Susan is extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome.
This was my second visit to Susan's Airstream, and it was again a delight. Susan accommodated my changing schedule, even when I showed up early in a raging thunderstorm! Cozy, clean, the songs of the peepers in the marsh nearby, and I slept like a baby. Plus, I got to meet a tiny Italian Greyhound whose personality is as charming as Susan's. Good time, and this will continue to be my first choice when I go to visit my grandkids. Close enough to see them very easily, but just far enough to recuperate! Love it!!
Our guests were delighted with the accommodations and the thoughtful extra touches. They enjoyed having breakfast and some privacy away from the holiday frenzy that was going on next door.
Novato, CA. We like to garden, hike, go to the beach, spend time together and with our pup, dine out, eat in, movies, reading, working hard, good wine, relax with friends and family, meet new interesting people and much more.
