Three of us were on vacation/holiday from the united states. We stayed at Oasis for 2 nights at the end of our week in Japan. The apartment is a short walk from Ikebukuro train station. Clean and quiet, we had a very enjoyable stay! If you are looking for affordable lodgings in Ikebukuro without any fancy thrills, this is the place for you! Will stay here again!
The apartment is a good size for Japan – a little small compared to Europe but having stayed in hotel rooms in Tokyo the space this flat gives a family of 4 adults is luxury in Tokyo
The flat is clean and has plenty of kitchen essentials to support you through your holiday. Comprising 3 spaces it has an average Japan bathroom (quite small but perfectly functional) a kitchenette which again is functional…but don’t expect to cook a ‘Sunday roast’ in there. Finally a living space that has comfy seating and all the beds (one double, a bunk bed and two foldup beds). Although the room is a single space there is a partition made with a bookcase that gives an element of privacy for the double bed from the bunk beds in the other part of the room. However I would say as a family this is fine but if you sharing with friends you best be familiar and close as there is very little full privacy in the living space.
The flat is in a quiet corner of Ikebukuro but always feel safe and secure – both our children (20 & 16 year olds) spent time on their own in and around the flat and never felt un-comfy.
Oasis Tokyo was professional as the owner of the flat and provided ample instructions in English before and during the holiday and replied to our communications in a reasonable time frame.
However we didnt have to contact her very often, and never to sort out any serious issue therefore cannot comment on how her response would be in those situations. The pre-holiday instructions (directions and key collection was very clear and accurate.
As a summary I would defiantly recommend this flat for any family or very close friends as a base to explore this amazing city and country.
Fantastic location, 2 minutes walk from Ikebukuro station, with plenty of shopping and nightlife in the area. Apartment is in a quiet side street so noise was not an issue. We had 4 in the apartment and that was fine, 5 would be a bit close, but do-able. Host left great directions and communication was not an issue. Bedding was a double bed, 2 pull out beds and 1 bunk bed. Little kitchen was good for making small meals. Patio was nice for a quiet drink. Highly recommended!
Spent 5 nights at Bushanah's.
Great (email hidden)ar to ikebukuro station. Easy access to yamamote line.
Smooth check in to the apartment with handy complete information provided.
However, the room heater didn't really do the job, if I may suggest with the current heater condition it would be good if you provide another (portable) heater.
Be wise in water heater usage especially when you travel during winter time. The capacity is limited. We experienced no water heater and need to wait for a day to get the tank fully loaded.
Bushanah as a host was responsive in replying my questions.
Overall experience: Great!
