The space
One important note —> your bed is a murphy bed, not a sofa bed. The mattress is queen sized and super comfortable. You’ll sleep like a baby.
As for the entire space, Kaleidoscope is a bright, south facing building with lots of natural light. There are large, cathedral like windows in our atrium and an antique spiral staircase. There is an ADA staircase as well. Please let us know if you want help getting your bags upstairs.
Our space was designed and built from scratch to foster creativity and connection. You’re going to love it.
Keep an eye out for all the rabbits scattered about our building and property. Rabbits are the mascot of Kaleidoscope. 🐇

Kaleidoscope has a sunny, two story atrium that is common space for guests and our artists in residence. A kitchenette and a half bath are available on the lower level. Our courtyard is a common area for you to daydream, soak up some sun, or listen to the sounds of our water feature which runs year round.
Other things to note
There is so much to do in Old Town Lafayette but it’s also very quiet and tranquil. Parks, murals, and sculptures are scattered around our artsy community. An independent bookshop, local coffeehouse and rec center are easy walking distance; so is a history museum, yoga/pilates studio and fantastic flea market. Did I mention restaurants, live music and antiques? There’s a lot to explore!
Your guest room has a guide with all sorts of tips and hints, and I’m available to make recommendations as well.

I worked in radio until ‘05 and then became a full-time voiceover artist.
In 2014, making art became my focus, and from this, the idea of Kaleidoscope was born in 2020.
Kaleidoscope is a nonprofit creative sanctuary which exists bring more light and love to the world.
