Seafront apartments and studios with a vast garden and private beach, In Psaras Messonghi, in Corfu.
Originaly a coffee house and a point of sea transportation during the 50's, has being turned into a complex of apartments and studios, built in the genuine Corfiot style. There are two apartments and four studios, all with view of the sea and the garden. The two apartments have a double bed and sofa which can turn into a bed. The four studios have queen size double beds, and if needed can be added an extra bed or babycot for children under 12 years old. They are all airconditioned, with fully equiped and well organised kitchens, and bathrooms with shower and toilet.
There is free wi-fi, and parking space for all the costumers in the apartments and the garden.
The place consists of 2.500 square meters of mostly green (a garden of many pistacias, angelicas, apricots, figs and pomengrade trees), located at a privileged point in the bay of Psaras and Messonghi.
It is ideal for those who want a quite and private place to relax, but at the same be near some fish tavernas. You can spend your time enjoying the sun next to the sea on a sunbed, or hide under the shade of a tree. Or, you can use freely our pedalo and canoe's to explore the charming nearby beaches, or just to go fishing.
Next to Thalassa Garden is a small seaside traditional fish taverna, a restaurant specialising in traditional greek kitchen (30 m) and a grill house (50 m). The market, with super markets, turist shops, bakeries, caffe's and an organised beach with sea sports facilities, is just 1 km away, in Messonghi. 1 km to the South is the majestic beach of Kodrakas, which is hidden under a forest of myrtles and pistacias. @ km away is the medieval vialge of Chlomos
Thalassa Garden is 22 km away from Corfu town and the airport and we can also arrange the transfer.. The place is reachable also by public transportation from and to Messonghi. A car may be needed If you want to explore the rest of Corfu.
Thalassa Garden is located 30 min from airport or 40 min from Corfu Town. We stayed in very basic but comfortable studio with amazing view of the garden and sea. It is very peaceful place (a part of the barking dog in the morning) and we felt very much relax afterwards.
We stayed off season (beginning of April) so nearly everything was closed near by and we could not rent scooters, so relayed on public transport to get to Corfu town (just 20 min late). We had a lovely walks to near by villages, laguna, and use the paddle to enjoy still cold sea.
Sotirios and his family were welcoming and helpful. We got a bottle of wine on our arrival and large bowl of fruits. Sotirios's mum also cooked for us lovely meal one evening.
Thank you for your kind words! Excuse me about the neighbours dog bothering you, I am trying to find a way to solve the issue, but it seems that the only solution is to extend the wall :( . Thanks for the feedback, I will try to do my best to improve the experience for the guests.
Thanks for coming, hope to see you again!
We had a wonderful stay at Thalassa Gardens, only a short 20/30 minute drive from the airport. Our studio apartment was extremely cosy and comfortable and our doors opened up into a beautiful view of the gardens and sea, with gorgeous sunsets. Despite having apartments in the same building we really felt like we were in our own private hideaway. Fresh pomegranates from the trees in the garden were an extra treat. We will definitely be recommended this on to friends.
I highly recommend this place!
We arrived to a picturesque and peaceful garden just by the water. The photos all look amazing but it is even better in real life. Fruits and herbs grow in the garden, the accomodation is clean and functional and the communication with the host is easy and smooth. 2 minutes walk away there is a restaurant and 15 minutes away the small village of Messonghi is situated, providing shops, a beach and restaurants. You can also rent a scooter there, which is great for exploring the island.
This place is awesome!
We were drawn to Thalassa Gardens by the photos and the reviews, and it was everything we anticipated and looked for. Quiet, relaxed, with the perfect setting for recharging our batteries after a very busy year. From the greeting on arrival to the last moment Spiros, Maria, and Soterios made our stay comfortable. Little surprises such as fresh Mousakka, or a bowl of figs, added wonderful touches. We did get out to see more of Corfu, but were happy to get back to our routine of swimming in clear turquoise water, eating fresh fruit, and simply watching the changing sea, well away from the clamour of the tourist towns. Three tavernas within minute's walk make eating easy. George at Elena's is a great host! We will be back.
From the first moment I saw the advertisement of Thalassa garden I was sold. When we arrived we had to wait for about an hour to get into our studio because we arrived too early. This was no problem at all because Spiros gave us some greek coffee and we just sat an enjoyed the view. When we got in the apartment, everything was clean and we even found a free bottle of wine in the fridge. We spent 7 days in Thalassa garden and I find it the best holiday place I have ever been! Sitorios, Spiros and Maria are the most kind hosts ever and though the place is close to shops, taverna's and tourist sights, it is peaceful, quiet and beautiful.
The best part of Thalassa garden is waking up, getting your swim costume on and walk right into the sea. (There are some sea air beds, snorkels and other stuff left behind by other guests that you can use.) Also walking around the garden and picking some fruits of the trees is pretty nice too! (figs, tomato's, fresh herbs, etc).
the pictures you can see on airbnb are beautiful, but in reality it is even more beautiful because you can hear the ocean, smell the fruits, herbs and just experience it all together.
As many other guests have said: I will come back in the future!

I enjoy communicating with people and I also like to help them! I have a big interest in environmental, cultural and social matters. I believe in maintaining environmental balance together with the preservation of the local culture, through the traditional social and cultural practices.
