Even after work I can go to Port Douglas to shop, and instantly feel "on holidays" There's something about the ocean that does it . I go to Mossman Gorge whenever I can to be in the middle of the Daintree rain forest, its so restoring.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • All contact I had with Wendy prior to my arrival was fantastic. Quick, relevant and friendly and gave me all the information I could possibly need.

The room itself is fantastic. A lovely and comfortable kingsized bed, great dining area looking over the pool/restaurant, comfy lounge and enough appliances for making an easy breakfast or cup a soups if trying to stick to a budget.

Wendy fills the unit with plenty of breakfast supplies as well as towels for both pool and shower/bath, so this makes travelling easy. She also left me some discount vouchers for both the restaurant and the spa which was appreciated.

The shower is lovely and hot with great pressure, and it's really lovely to also have the bath to soak in after a long day.

The resort itself is fantastic. About 4km out of town (easy walk on the beach, or get a shuttle bus - $9 per adult return or I got 3 day passes for $25); and beautifully designed. The pool is glorious (even in winter!) and I thoroughly recommend the restaurant and cocktails.

Make sure you get yourself in for a treatment at the Treetops Spa (in the resort) - the Bodhi Tree package was a particular favourite.

All in all, I loved my stay in Wendy and Roger's unit and would thoroughly recommend them to all my friends.

  • Thank you very much for a most enjoyable stay in Port Douglas. The room is spacious and has all the necessary items to make a stay comfortable. The location is also excellent, being a short walk to the beach and a short drive to the township of Port Douglas. Communication with Wendy is easy and helpful. I recommend this as an excellent option in Port Douglas.

  • Lovely stay: straightforward check-in, nice selection of breakfast supplies (unexpected, and so a big thank-you); nice big room overlooking the pool (WiFi worked for me in the room). Would certainly stay there again if in Port Douglas.

  • We really enjoyed our stay in Roger and Wendy's resort room. Its location within the resort is excellent - right in the middle overlooking the swimming pool, gardens and restaurant - but quiet, too. The breakfast provisions were perfect for starting us off - in fact, so generous that they lasted the whole 3 days! The room is very well equipped and there is a laundry down the corridor. The resort, although quite an old one, is well maintained and very attractive with its central core of rainforest gardens. Only 5 minutes drive to Port Douglas itself - or a beautiful walk along fabulous 4 mile beach. Highly recommended.
