Modern bedroom with a brand new, supercomfortable queen sized bed is ideal for visitors eager to discover San Francisco or the business traveller. The room has plenty of closet space.
The room has a private entrance on the side of the house (however, in times of heavy rain, I ask people to use my front door because the stairs leading to the room are very slippery when wet). You have the exclusive use of a full bathroom, including hairdryer and towels, down the hall.
There is a Starbucks, Peets coffee, French Cafe or American breakfast restaurant a few blocks away (Laurel Village).
There are a number of excellent restaurants on neighboring Sacramento Street. The popular Fillmore street area is only 8 blocks away and offers many restaurants, bars, live music, and movie theaters.
Street parking is limited to 2 hours Mon-Fri in my neighborhood as it is in many others. San Fransisco is a pedestrian friendly town with an excellent transit system. There is no time limitation on the big block across my flat. Several guest have been able to park on that block in the evenings and leave their car on that block for a couple days.
I have a very friendly German Shepherd who loves guests and befriends them within seconds. However, I can keep her in my room on a different level if you prefer. I have two shy cats who hide from guests.
You are welcome to use the kitchen for any meals. Coffee, tea and fruits are available at any time.
5 bus lines are on the doorstep to take you to Union square, China Town, Fisherman's Wharf, the Marina, Haight-Ashbury and Golden Gate park. You are central to all the great tourist destinations within the city.
You can buy 3 – 7 day bus passes starting at $ 23.00 giving you unlimited access to buses and cable cars. These passes can be purchased at the information kiosk at the SFO Airport or a block away on Geary and Presidio (10:00 am to 4:00pm).
38/38L, to downtown or ocean beach.
43, to Marina (the bay, Crissy Field) or to the Haight.
24, to Castro and Mission (best Mexican and Latin American food in town).
1, to Downtown or Legion of Honor/Lands End
Transportation from SFO Airport:

This is a non smoking house (and hopefully needless to add a drug free house)

Please repect the space and the things in it.
Please don't invite visitors (strangers) into the house unless i am present.
We were made very welcome by sylvie, the Home and room was lovely, quiet with its own outside entrance if required, Sylvie's home had everything you needed to look after yourself, good stores in walking distance, and public transport to main tourist areas nearby.
The location was mainly nice residential, street parking was 2 hours, 6am to 8pm, so fine if your out during the day, our host Sylvie is a lovely lady, and happy to sit and chat with her guests.
Sylvie's place is centrally located with very accessible public transportation. Easy walk to good amenities (food, cafes, groceries, etc.) too. In addition to providing a homelike atmosphere and clean accommodations, Sylvie was very helpful. A win-win!
Sylvie was a wonderful host. She was very helpful in giving tips on the best modes of transportation and her place is less than a block away from major bus routes downtown. The private access room for the guest in the back was very convenient and the place is kept very clean and tidy. Visiting during one of the colder months of San Francisco, the room was kept warm with a space heater and many amenities were provided by the host or available nearby. Thanks, Sylvie!
It was my first time in San Francisco and my first time using Airbnb- what a wonderful experience it was! Sylvie was a fabulous and sweet host. Unfortunately I didn't get to see or interact with Sylvie much given I was only there for two days and adventuring the majority of the time! However, next time I'm in SF for an extended period time I would definitely stay again! Sylvie also has a ton of knowledge and resources available about the SF area and is close to many popular areas via walking or popular transit systems!
The stay was great. I like having access to the kitchen and make tea and oatmeal for myself without stepping out of the door. Sylvie was attentive to my needs. The room was comfortable, with an electric blanket on the bed, making it very cosy at night. I had the bathroom to myself, which is also great. It's easy access to Japan town, and Trader Joe's is less than 5min away.
Sylvie was welcoming and pleasant to chat to, she had good recommendations and is a great host.
