This was our first experience using Airbnb, and Jennifer was a wonderful host. She gave us some wonderful descriptions of local attractions and great places to eat. The private with its own bathroom was perfect for our needs. Definitely would stay here again.
The room was outstanding and exactly as described. It's a great space. Jennifer couldn't have been easier to work with and more accommodating. Perfect locale if you need a place to stay if you're going to the Kings Theatre.
Hiper good value for money. Maybe one can't find another ensuite room like this for this price.
Jeniffer, the owner, and her roommate, Nagella, are both very friendly and accomodative.
The room size is adequate and way larger than average hotel rooms in New York. I felt really comfortable there. Completely street noise proof.
From the flat to, say, 42nd street station in Manhattan by the Q or B trains it will take you approximately 60 minuters on average, considering walking time from the flat to the nearest subway station. You need to walk half a mile from door to either Cortelyou Rd Station or Newkirk Plaza Station.
The neighbourhood is mixed. The building itself is sited in a definitely not fancy street, but the whereabouts are very pleasant to take a stroll. You'll even find some very good restaurants half a mile from the flat in Cortelyou Road. Don't miss the Asia, which serves Indian Food for a bargain, especially in lunch time.
You'll find everything you need to make your breakfast in the kitchen. I myself even prepared diners twice. Jennifer kindly allow guests to use the fridge for storage.
In a nutshell, the owner is very friendly, the room is good, you'll have a private bathroom for a price really low. Obviously you'd better expect some commuting time to get to Manhattan and not expect a swank place.
Again, you'll probably won't find best value for your money in NYC.
jennifer has a beautiful place! it is very spacious and the hard wood floors are lovely. it's quite a good value for new york, and if you don't mind a bit of a walk from the train station, the transportation is convenient.
Jenn was a fantastic host! Her apartment was beautiful and welcoming and she did everything possible to accomodate me. Part of my stay fell new Valentine's Day and she even gave me a personal valentine (chocolate included). Having the bathroom connected to my room was a great perk and definitely gave me just the right amount of independence.
Jennifer's place was perfect for what I wanted. She is just a few blocks from the subway and a quick walk to prospect park. Despite my 2am arrival she greeted me at the door of the building and was kind enough to show me the apartment and she left a nice little care package in the room.

I am a dance/movement therapist and artist. I currently work with children at a public school. Creative, friendly, and flexible. :) I love to travel and commit to exploring more of this beautiful world this year.
2 others (including myself) live in the apartment which is laid out for ample privacy. They all work a lot and are rarely home but quite friendly and tidy when they are.
