*The Suite is small/medium-sized (about 15ft by 12ft large with high ceilings) & MASSIVE Chalkboard wall for you to create anything you wish! Brand new Twin over Full Loft bed (bunk beds for adults with real mattresses): Space saving for 3 guests + top bunk feels like a treehouse.
Great for 1-2 people (although 3 have stayed and enjoyed as well). Your private, full bathroom is small but yours alone!
*Please book for the correct number of guests so I can give you towels for everyone.
Little coffee/breakfast nook at the window with fold-up table if you prefer private meals. Mini vintage kitchenette box with your own mini fridge too! Big Closet for your luggage and hanging clothes. Living room, dining, and kitchen are shared and open for your use. *Brand new showerhead in your bathroom with 5 water flow settings.

Spacious Apartment with great layout:
I live here along with two other longterm airbnb guests on the opposite wings of the apt. Because we have busy schedules outside the apt., it feels like a quiet retreat from the bustling city. I live here if you have any questions or would like some info about my favorite places to walk in the neighborhood.

The Suite is in the front hall which makes it very private and away from the rest of the house. Super clean, shoes-off-inside-style of apartment. Organic linens washed in Free & Clear detergent. Steam/Radiator heat keeps you toasty in winter. (Air conditioner only in summer months.) Your big window faces a private area with no street access and lots of morning sunlight! :)
* Please make sure to read Ditmas Park/Flatbush NEIGHBORHOOD OVERVIEW for details about this unique, diverse location. Historic Victorian mansions and ancient Sycamore trees just a block away. :)

*'Hood & Trains:
8 minute walk to B and Q trains-- 30 min. average to Manhattan. 15 min. walk or 5 min. Train to Prospect Park, Botanic Gardens, and ice skating rink. Just 20 minutes to Coney Island. Gorgeous neighborhood of Ditmas Park -- cofeeshops, gourmet restaurants, bars, Food Co-Op, fresh farmer's market on Sundays. All within a few minutes walk.

Easy commute to all iconic areas in both Brooklyn & Manhattan . This neighborhood is awesome (just featured in the NY TIMES) with lots of restaurants, shopping, and gourmet spots just around the corner. Newly restored Historic King's Theatre a few blocks away.
*Elevator is inside building on the right side. Fifth floor.

Use the Common Areas!:
Living room is an open space for yoga, painting, meditation, and/or reading. I use this space to provide private dance therapy or yoga sessions 2-3 hours a week at which time curtains are closed to the space. Please refrain from using common space during those hours posted at living room chalkboard for reference. Ask me about having a private or couples Movement Therapy session. I have made my home a healing space and treat it as a reprieve from the city hustle. ☆
Record player for you to listen to my vintage album collection & lots of games and books!
You have full use of the kitchen and all appliances. Stay in kitchen while using stove at all times please.

I provide Essentials:
Coffee. Lots of it. Right in your room with personal coffeemaker and personal Brita water pitcher.
Laundromat & grocery around the corner on Flatbush Ave. I provide you with 2 towels/person, hairdryer, iron, and shampoo/soap. I made a local map and guide for you in your Suite.

Keys & Check-In:
SELF CHECK-IN with lockbox at building door (code provided to you when book). Check in is 3 pm and after at your convenience (even late night). Please Write down the instructions provided to you in SELF-CHECK IN INSTRUCTIONS in case you don't have Wi-Fi while traveling.
*Please note: I'm no longer able to accomodate requests for late check outs or leaving bags. Please utilize the many awesome coffeeshops and eateries nearby if you arrive early or your flight is at night (check out is 11 am for me to clean for the next guest and also work full-time). Sorry for the inconvenience but after 2 years of hosting with extended check-outs, I'm ready to honor the times set forth. ♡

I hope you enjoy your stay in Brooklyn, NY! Hoping to meet you. ☆

I’ve stayed at various Airbnbs in NYC before and Jenny’s Love is by far the best. It’s artistic, cozy, green (check out her plants!), and CLEAN. The en suite room I stayed in is perfect if you’re traveling with a friend and want separate beds. Last but not the least, Jenny is a warm, caring host who took care of me when I caught the cold on the last night of my stay there. Will definitely be booking at her place again the next time I travel to NYC!

Jennifer's place was perfect for what my friends and I wanted on our second trip back to NY. Not too far from the subway and not too far from local spots in Brookyln. We recommend it for those who want a "local" experience. If you don't mind traveling via subway to the touristy spots in Manhattan, then this place is a nice cheap option. The Room - Relaxing environment/design. Fits 3 people perfectly, 4 might feel a little cramped. The bathroom is small, but was fine for the basic needs. The room has everything you pretty much need. What we found useful were the mini fridge and cups. There is even a coffee maker and tea in the room. We had full access to the kitchen and living room as well. The Host - She is SUPER friendly! She put together a wonderful binder full of useful tips, maps, and even a metrocard! We met her on the first day and her energy had us excited to explore the city even more. We kept to ourselves majority of our stay, and she was not a bother at all. The perfect amount of privacy. Neighborhood - We can see how some people might feel "scared", but we had no issues with people around the area at all. Just use common sense and you should be fine. The place is not too far from the subway or local spots. Walking was always an option. We traveled to Manhattan often during our stay in Brooklyn, just a subway ride away. Hit up the botanical garden (pay to get in), milk + honey, Dekalb Market, and Dallas BBQ (get the sticky wings).

This was my second time staying at Jennifer's place. This small private suite in a large Brooklyn apartment is charming and welcoming. It's great to have a bathroom all to oneself. The suite is close to great restaurants and shops in an lively neighborhood. The Q train to Manhattan is a short walk away. Prospect Park and the Botanical Gardens are also within walking distance. Jennifer is the perfect host: quick to respond, very friendly and accommodating. It's obvious that she puts a lot of effort into making her place comfortable and beautiful.

This place was great. Jennifer is very friendly and there was ice cold water waiting for us after getting there (it was quite a long trip)! The room has a private bathroom, which is really nice. There is also AC in the room which is excellent (especially considering the summer heat). There was plenty of space to store our luggage and the room was very well lit. It was not at all dark, dingy or damp; quite the opposite. The area is a little scary, especially at night. The subway is really close and there are some shops and places to eat pretty close (even though we didn't eat at any of them). Overall, I would absolutely recommend staying there and would stay there again.

Response from Jenny &:
Thanks so much for your review, Nathan. I am happy that you would love to stay here again! In response to your neighborhood description: The street can be noisy in the summer with people playing music from cars or hanging out on the block. It is very well lit with street lamps and over the 8 years I have lived here, I have never had any (EMAIL HIDDEN)ing from a small town myself, I understand that Brooklyn and NYC in general can feel unsettling at times but I just want to clarify that there are not safety concerns here. Of course, this is an individual preference and is subjective so I am glad you would come again despite your first impressions. Thanks again and come back anytime! Next time definitely eat here -- We are rated the best neighborhood for restaurants in NYC! Love, Jen

Our stay at Jennifer's place was amazing! It was just as described, both cozy and clean. Jennifer graciously provided a filtered water pitcher in the fridge as well as toiletries, coffee and tea! She provided a nice folder with all kinds of great information as well as recommendations. It was only about a 10-15 minute walk to the subway where we caught the Q going to almost everywhere in NYC we wanted to go! There are some lovely local restaurants not too far which include Mama Lucia's a cute Italian place and if you are up for a walk a little further away, The Farm on Adderly is a wonderful farm fresh restaurant with blood orange mimosas that definitely made the walk worth it! I would highly recommend this place for anyone who is interested in staying in a "neighborhood" environment. We definitely will stay here again when we return for part two of " From the Golden Gate Bridge to the Brooklyn Bridge" adventure~

Jen's place is huge! The beds are comfy. It's super clean. She's super accommodating and really cool in person. You cannot go wrong staying there!

Everything was as described. We arrived earlier than expected but the host was still nice and helpful. There was no problem at all with this room.
