  • Carlos Carlos! This guy is great, don't let his crazy hair in the morning fool you, he's not only hilarious but he is incredibly knowledgeable about the world and of course Cusco. He was there every evening I came back and every early morning he made a great breakfast, including coca tea and fresh juice, before I went on my adventures. He was always making sure I had what I needed. The location is perfect, very very safe, and close to all the main sites. The house/apartment itself is classic-style, but still well-maintained.

    thanks for your reView!

  • Carlos was very helpful in providing advice and making travel and sightseeing arrangements during our stay in Cusco. The breakfast was also a welcome part of our stay. The house is filled with character however a bit chilly at times as there are no heating units in the rooms.

  • Carlos was an exceptional host. He gave me tons of advice on places to go, things to see, where to eat, etc. He even gave me precise directions on using local transportation to visit Pikillakta, Rumicolca, and Tipon on my own when I wasn't able to join an actual tour.

He was extremely welcoming, spending time with his guests over breakfast, whipping up batches of pisco sours and just being personable. I'd stay at Casa Carlos again without hesitation.

  • I just stayed there a night --was trying for two nights but they're popular and I know why: Jackie and Carlos are such a cute couple and a great host. Jackie makes a mean hot chocolate. Thanks for being a great host and hope to see you again! :D

  • Carlos was a great host and his place is in a great location. Safe (next to the police station), and convenient to the hub of Cusco, Plaza de Armas. The bathroom and rooms are very clean, and Carlos is so welcoming. He spent time giving us tips on what to see, and even bought some snacks and treats for us on New Years Eve.

I'd highly recommend his stay for anyone looking for a nice, clean place to stay in Cusco.

  • I really enjoyed my stay with Carlos. It was my first time in Cusco and he not only helped me get the right travel agent (and saved me money on my Inca trail trip) but he got involved whenever there was a problem. One of the guests had a problem with their agent and he took it upon himself to ensure she got a refund.

He made great recommendations of things to do and see and even took me to see some ruins which were not part of the guided tours. Not to mention eating kui (guinea pig- delicious)! Carlos is more than just a host. He is a friend (who makes great pisco sours too if you're lucky to watch him in action:-)

Great location too, right next to the Tourist Police, safe and quiet neighbourhood which is only a 5 minute walk from Plaza de Almas. Travel agents, internet cafes, restaurants, international ATMs, supermarkets etc are all close by.

I highly recommend staying at Casa Carlos!

  • My stay in Casa Carlos was AMAZING. I felt I had a family in Cuzco and was happy to come home every night.
It is one block away from plaza las armas and Jackie was always available and helpful in helping me know where to go for anything I needed, from an amazing massage with Viki who is a beautiful woman with magical hands, to the best laundry service that left all my clothes looking like new. The rooms are simple and comfortable and breakfast was yummy. THANK YOU! I hope you can come visit me and that I get to come back soon!

  • We had a wonderful trip to Cusco, and one of the main highlights of our visit was the time we spent with Carlos and Jackie at their home. They were the best hosts you could ask for and provided excellent recommendations about tours, restaurants, and the city in general. Their home is in an amazing location - just a block from the main square and close to excellent restaurants. Their breakfasts were delicious and always fun. We cannot recommend Carlos and Jackie enough and we encourage you to spend some time with them in Cusco. You won't regret it!
