Interaction with Guests
I am available to my guests throughout their stay via phone/e-mail. I come by the main home on the property on a daily basis so I am always around and available to answer any questions that arise.
Our neighborhood is one of the many older neighborhoods in the city. It's really close to downtown, which is very convenient and one of the biggest draws of this home. The downtown area has many great coffee shops, wine bars, restaurants, shopping, etc. There's also a park only a block away with an outdoor fitness center, basketball court, playground, and community garden.
It's also conveniently located near the 101 North & South freeway on ramps, which is nice for getting around quickly.
It is also very close to the trail head of Cerro San Luis (commonly known as Madonna Mountain).
Street parking is free and always available.
There is a bus stop a block away from the home. The main bus transit center is about a 15-20 minute walk downtown.
Bikes are available for rent (2 beach cruisers) but they're subject to availability. There are also a couple other bike rental places within close proximity as well if you wanted a mountain bike or other kind.

Sweet. Sassy. Mollasy. Would rent for weeks at a time if we could. Killer location, killer recommendations from Carrie. Pretty birds and bird songs; lovely ambiance best Airbnb yet.
The accommodations were exactly as pictured. Carrie was super responsive to our questions and made us feel welcome. Her information booklet about what to see, eat and do in SLO was very helpful. We were within walking distance of downtown, which was wonderful. We would definitely recommend staying at this small, but lovely studio.
This was our first time using Airbnb and we had a great experience. The property is located close enough to walk to the downtown area with lots of places to shop and eat. The patio was great to sit on and relax. There was plenty of on street parking available. The host was very responsive and checked in by email to make sure everything was going well. The welcome cookies were delicious. We would stay there again.
Carrie was a wonderful host! Everything that was on the description lived up to and exceeded our expectations. We were greeted with fresh cookies. The location is not far at all from downtown SLO and is walking distance. This room is secluded and the patio area makes for a nice touch for the early morning/evening when you're wanting to relax. When we visit the area again, we will definitely be back to stay. Thanks again for the hospitality!
My boyfriend and I stayed in Carrie's studio for three days, two nights. It was beyond pleasant! Upon arrival, we were greeted with freshly baked chocolate chip cookies that were delicious. We used her list of recommended restaurants to find places to go, and then walked the few blocks to downtown. I loved only having the code to access the property, so there was no worry over a key, and my boyfriend was crazy about the outdoor water feature that made it sound like you were waking up by a small babbling brook.
Overall, Carrie was communicative and helpful without being the least bit intrusive. I would definitely recommend it to anyone considering a beautiful little getaway in SLO.
We had an awesome time here! We have already passed along our recommendations to friends / family. The privacy and entire atmosphere in the apartment were excellent. Nothing negative at all - Hope we can come back!
We were just there a short weekend but the experience was wonderful! We had some problems with the entry code and Carrie came right over and fixed it. It was so nice to stay in a place that felt like home, rather than an impersonal hotel room. Carrie welcomed us with homemade cookies and no detail was left unattended to. From providing toiletries is the shower (shampoo, conditioner, body wash), to creamer for your coffee in the morning. We loved the outside patio, especially this time of the year. Location was great! Easy walk to downtown and easy access to freeway. I would definitely stay again.

About the Host, Carrie
I grew up in San Luis Obispo, California. I love the Central Coast and everything it has to offer. I love the fresh produce from the Farmer's Markets, locally produced products, farm-to-table restaurants, and the little boutiques that make SLO so unique.
I love the outdoors and exploring the coast with my little dog Callie.
