Street parking is free and always available.
There is a bus stop a block away from the home. The main bus transit center is about a 15-20 minute walk downtown.

Carrie was the best host we could have possibly imagined for our first airbnb experience! Her place is BEAUTIFUL, it's in a wonderful location (walking distance from downtown...but just far enough out that you don't hear the bar-ruckus of weekend partiers!), and she even welcomed us with a note and a plate of cookies (Greg: "Those were delicious!") The studio was clean, bright, and had everything we needed and more...she even had a Keurig for us to make coffee in the morning (plus a few other useful basics)! We didn't do much cooking during our stay, but the cute little kitchen is stocked with everything you need to prepare delicious dinners. Our favorite part was the HUGE balcony overlooking the enclosed patio below. The building is Spanish-styled and beautifully decorated, complete with fountains, hand painted tiles on the stairs, and even an aviary! We woke up each morning to sunlight, birds singing, and fountains flowing...it was like a dream! We were constantly bragging to our friends about how awesome our place was, so we invited them over for afternoon drinks on the deck and they didn't want to leave! Carrie was great at communicating with us both before and during the trip to check in and see if we needed anything. She even has a binder full of useful information and a list of fun things to do around SLO (and as a former SLO resident, I can totally back up her suggestions!). We had no idea what to expect from our first airbnb stay...but I can say with confidence that I never want to stay in a hotel ever again. This place cost less than what many of our friends paid for hotel rooms, and the experience was worth so much more. Carrie was even able to accommodate us last minute when our travel plans allowed us to stay an extra two nights! We will definitely stay here again on future trips; it was perfect! Thank you Carrie!
Carrie's charming studio was beautiful. We were so pleased with our stay there. It was an easy walk to downtown, parking was very easy right in front of the house. The apartment itself is beautiful, with an amazing balcony where we would have spent our entire stay if we didn't have anything else to do. Such a great space. We'd definitely try to stay here again if we come back to San Louis Obispo.
Carrie's studio was amazing. The place has a lot of heart and character and would definitely stay there the next time Im in SLO.
She was very accommodating the and place, especially the kitchen had everything I needed.
The next time you are in SLO, check this place out.
Very adorable little place to stay! It was very much what we needed after a long drive. The single room (+bathroom) has everything you need with a fridge and fairly sized kitchen. Very comfortable bed as well. There are birds in an outside cage that will seem loud as you walk in, but they make no noise at night and from within the room you hardly notice them. The access is provided by keypad lock, which is refreshing since there is no key to take (or lose)
Neighborhood is walking distance from plenty of places to eat, we went to Novo and Sidecar. Carrie also provides plenty of suggestions which was very nice of her. I will note that streets aren't very well lit at night.
Street parking was also available.
I have so much love for this little studio! It's even more charming than the photos. Wonderfully clean space, a cozy bed, great shower/tub, a really pleasant patio with the sounds of a water fountain and birds chirping outside. Add on the fresh baked cookies and the easy stroll to downtown and it's an absolute no brainier if you're looking for a simple place to stay in SLO. I hope to stay again!
Carrie was a fantastic host, I can't recommend her enough! The studio has a genuine hacienda charm that makes the experience unique and worth trying. The location is perfect, at the center of pretty much everything, with an easy access to the freeway if you're planning on visiting the surroundings. Bonus point: there is a parrot "house" in the courtyard of the house when you enter, a grown up kid delight that mesmerized us!
