Welcome to Hong Kong, a buzzing metropolis by day and a neon galaxy by night. There is so much to do and explore and no better place to do it from than Wanchai.
It is the perfect location for you no mater why you have come to Hong Kong.
My apartment is cozy and well equipped with everything you'll need: soft sheets, fluffy towels, a mini kitchen, bathroom, TV, WiFi, guidebooks, and character. It is ideal for an individual or couple.
Smack in the middle of Hong Kong's shopping and eating centre, our apartment is a fantastic place from which to base yourself during your trip to Hong Kong.
My wife and I had a fun time preparing the apartment for your arrival and we have tried our best to anticipate what you will need during your trip. We are available to help you make the most of your stay!
Did I mention it is in a great location? It's only a:
600 meter walk to the Convention Center
200 meter walk to the MTR (HK's subway system)
600 meter walk to the famous Star Ferry
Note that the nightly price shown up there doesn't include the one time cleaning fee (I care about cleanliness so I hire a pro) and Airbnb's booking fee. Input your dates and click the 'book it' button to get the total cost of your stay. Ask if you have any questions. :)
In the studio bedroom/living room you'll find:
a double bed (a little smaller than doubles in the West, it is 4' x 6'/180cm x 120cm)
a TV (local channels-- 2 in English-- but hopefully you will be too busy exploring the neighborhood to use it :)
free WiFi (super fast broadband network)
a quiet air conditioner
a Mini fridge
an electric kettle
coffees, teas, snacks and drinks
beer and wine (my gift to you!)
In the Bathroom you'll find:
a hair dryer
220 volt outlets
a plug adapter for your gadgets (not a voltage converter)

The studio space is private– everything in the pictures is yours and yours alone. :-)
I'm happy to give recommendations for places to visit and local restaurants.
Causeway Bay and Wanchai are the heart of Hong Kong's consumer culture. Every square inch is filled with shopping malls, department stores, boutiques, market stalls, hole in the wall cafés, international restaurants and banquet halls.
Within walking distance of the apartment, you'll find almost every type of cuisine on the planet as well as the HK must try's: dim sum, roast meats, noodles and congee, cha chan teng (a unique fusion of Chinese/Western food), and snacks and desserts.
If shopping is your thing, you'll find the whole range: From bargains and nicknacks at the Jardine's Crescent street market and Spring Garden Lane, to affordable youth fashion boutiques in Island Beverly Centre, to the tech heaven of the Wanchai Computer Centre, to mid-priced and luxury goods in SOGO and Hysan Place, to the up market fashions found in Lee Gardens, Times Square and Fashion Walk.
You are also right next to Happy Valley, where you can enjoy a beer and watch a horse race on most Wednesdays.
It couldn't be easier to get to the apartment from the airport. The A11 bus picks you up at the airport and drops you off just downstairs from the apartment, and gives you great views of the city as you come into town. You can also get to the apartment by Airport Express (high speed train) and taxi.
The apartment is just a 3 minute walk from Wanchai MTR station (our subway system) and is serviced by Hong Kong's classic tramways and many bus lines. The famous Star Ferry is also just a short walk away.

Other Things to Note
Check in is after 2pm and check out is before 12 noon. I'm happy to accommodate early check in and late check out as long as I don't have guests arriving/departing on the same days.
Have fun, explore the city, eat shop and live life to the fullest.
You are free to use anything in the apartment, please make (email hidden) is an incredibly dense city, please remember the neighbors and don't be too noisy at night.
Absolutely no smoking in the apartment.
Try not to forget anything when you leave.
The place was really really tiny ( app 9 m2 ), so small that the fridge was placed under the bed. But you get used to it, after a while. Many things compensate this lack of space like the snacks, drinks, neighbourhood, clean towels/linen etc.
There was no kitchen, so l wont call it a studio, but a private room with shower. Alex, as a caretaker, was present by phone. I will recommend this place for singles. Giving a late check out was an extra plus.
We love the location of the apartment, which is close to the MTR and tram station. Nestled in a historical (and colorful) part of town, there is easy access to local eating places and shops. The pictures shown are close to the actual look of the apartment. Alex is very thoughtful and prompt in providing instructions on getting to the apartment, and questions that we have during our stay. We would definitely love to stay here again on our next visit!
Although I didn't get to meet Alex personally, he was still a great host! Prior to the trip, he sent me a very detailed email on how to get to the apartment from the airport; so detailed in fact, I felt like there's no way I could ever get lost haha! He's by far the best host I've come across in airbnb. Communication was clear throughout.
The room was small as described but the facilities were perfect. The location was great as well. Less than 5 minutes walk from the MTR, lots of food places and bars to explore too. It was only a station or two away from Central and Causeway Bay MTR so getting into the main shopping districts was quick.
I highly recommend this place!
Small but very comfortable, and Alex left some drinks in the fridge for me, as well as some beer and wine. Very nice.
Alex was very helpful providing details how to get to the apt, although I didn't meet him in person. The apt is clean and exactly same as the photos shown, all good!
Alex was communicative and made sure we had everything we needed. We were very close to Wan Chai station, and certainly within walking distance to decent shopping areas, restaurants and the laundry.
In terms of space, what you see in the photos is what you get but it suited people like us, who favoured convenience over a spacious place as we are out most of the time anyway! A multitude of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, were provided as part of our stay, which we thought was a nice touch so thank you Alex!

I'm from North Carolina, but I've lived in Hong Kong for 11 years.
I love living in and travelling across Asia. You'll usually see me with camera in hand trying to blend in with the local culture, which is difficult for a tall white guy.
But, whether I'm treking across a desert or window shopping on high streets, I always love to meet other like minded free spirits.
My wife and I have really enjoyed preparing our place to be ready for guests. We hope you enjoy it. Please let me know if there is anything special I can prepare for your trip. :-)
As a host, I'll try my best to point out the colorful local scene, and as a guest, I'll I try to leave nothing but good memories.
