Large quiet bedroom in a 1800's Hudson townhouse.
Bathroom is adjacent to room.

House is a beautiful old townhouse on Hudson's main street, Warren Street. 5-7 minutes walk from the Hudson Amtrak station. Ample parking is available on the street.

Bedroom is ~14x17 for a total of ~240 comfortable square feet. Spacious and nicely laid out. Comfy chair by window with lots of light for reading. Ample closet space for hanging any garments, and actual luggage rack like in a real hotel. Hardwood floors with a wool area rug.

The king sized bed, has a pillow top, is of the highest quality, and cost more than some small cars! Nice linens and assortment of pillows supplied, along with towels.

Fully self-controlled climate in the room. Room stays warm, while an electric radiator supplied in winter allows you to make it as hot in there as you desire. In summer, a window air conditioner unit is installed.

The room is comfortable and stylish, but the whole house is gradually being restored and updated and things are admittedly a little rough around the edges. Reminder, this is Hudson, NOT the Hamptons! However, when renovations are finished, prices in this listing will increase accordingly.

The bathroom is shared, if any one else is staying at the house.

Breakfast is a few steps away at 2 of the best breakfast places in town. All restaurants, galleries, antiques, and cultural venues are within walking distance, including The Basilica and Helsinki. You do not need a car for short stays, though one would be good to sample more of what the region offers.

Host is happy to provide recommendations on the area and in any regard to your stay. For example, those coming up to Hudson from NYC's Penn Station should sit on the left side of the train, (Left when facing front of train) for the best view of the scenic ride up from NYC.

  • I loved staying here --- Terence was a great host, and the room is even nicer than it looks in the photos. Highly recommended!

  • Charming house. Big room. Central location on Warren Street. And wonderful host. Prior to our arrival, Terence sent a list of restaurants, a history of the town and nearby places to visit. Definitely would stay again.

  • We had a great stay at Terence's! He was very accomodating and accessible. The room was lovely and the bed was incredibly comfortable! Great spot in a great location. Thumbs up!

  • This was our second time staying at Terrence's but this time in the sunny bedroom! The room is cozy and airy with the aid of the window fan. Private and very clean.
The stay was as fantastic as the first time. Thanks for having us again, Terrence!
    We will be back!

  • We enjoyed our stay both because the location was ideal and the host was friendly, helpful, and well organized. We were in town to conduct business and, therefore, especially appreciated being able to wander into the kitchen at odd hours to eat the carryout that we had finally found time to eat. we wish Terence well in the restoration of a fantastic building.

  • Terence is a lovely host, Hudson is amazing and the apartment was an excellent choice of place to stay.
Terence's house is right on Warren street which is the main street in Hudson so super convenient for everything. Our room was really private and the bed was super comfortable. We even had Terence's old record player and his vinyl collection.
Terence was an excellent host - he lent us his bikes and tennis rackets. Told us the best places to go and eat and walk. And was just generally great.
If you stay here, you have to eat in Tanzy's next door. Best breakfast I ever ate and super cheap.

  • Terence was a great host. The bed may be the most comfortable bed I've ever been in. The house itself is very charming and is in a perfect location. Recommended!

  • This was our second trip back to Terence's place and we had a wonderful time once again! Hudson is an interesting little city with a lot to offer, and Terence's house is a cool, funky old townhouse. We're already making plans to return.

  • Had a great two weeks in Hudson, splitting time in both of Terence's rooms. He is an accommodating & responsive host—and was great about helping out with getting groceries for the long stay & special requests like putting a work desk & chair into the rooms. I can't say enough good things about the town. And, even with some fairly daunting winter weather, his place is well-located to explore it. If I had any regrets it was visiting Hudson before winter had lifted. (Though I imagine it was a perfect season for skiers.)

  • Terrence was an accommodating host and the room was just as described. The building is in a prime location on Warren Street; the king bed was comfy and clean, and street parking was no problem. Perfect for a pit stop after a day snowboarding at Hunter Mountain (about half an hour away).

I do my own thing and excel at it
A world traveler, constant student of life, meditator and tennis player. For livelihood a strategic business consultant and trader with an old house in Hudson, NY slowly refurbishing into a home. House is waaaay to large for one person so voila! airbnb! I've lived in New York, LA, Paris, Shanghai and Bangkok and travel extensively so understand what a traveler needs for a comfortable stay. Parts of my house range from 2 star ramshackle to 5 star luxury. All of it comfortable or appealing in its own way. As a host, I want to ensure a comfortable and memorable for all the right reasons stay.
