Description:
Clean, elegant apartment on a quiet, tree-lined street. One block to your left, the famous 18th street corridor of markets, small coffee shops and restaurants. One block to your right, the 17th street bars, supermarkets, and convenience stores. One block south is THE Dupont Circle.

Amenities:
Full kitchen and living room, high-speed WIFI, TV, Simmons Beauty Rest bed, designer couch, ample bedding, linens, towels, toilet paper, and paper towels included.

You control the temperature—as cold or as warm as you’d like it. Fully stocked kitchen! Pots, pans, silverware, plates, cups, wine glasses, etc.

Location:
Centrally located near all the major DC destinations, this house is truly in the middle of it all:
-Three blocks north of Dupont Circle -Two blocks south of the U-Street corridor -Two blocks from "Dupont Circle" stop on the Red Line Metro -On the same block as the Safeway supermarket, one block from a wine shop, a dozen restaurants and cafes, retail clothing stores, art galleries, and several museums.

Finally, just a 20-minute walk down Pennsylvania Avenue to the White House, Lincoln, Jefferson, Washington, and all other major monuments.

Check-in and check-out times: Check in is from 3PM on and check out is by 12PM (noon). I try to accommodate any reasonable requests that I get.

Parking:
Two blocks from the metro, car not recommended. But street parking is pretty easy to swing and most of my guests have no trouble moving their car around and finding places on the street to park. However, to park it for the whole time and not worry about it, I'd definitely recommend the garage on New Hampshire Avenue literally a block from the house. It's 15 bucks a day and it really beats moving the car from spot to spot, etc.

Safety:
This is among the safest streets and neighborhoods in DC, and with iron security gates and double locks at the front and rear entrances, this is a safe home for your family, as well. Perfect for a family trip, spacious, warm, and comfortable.

Communication:
I will be on call for the entire length of your stay, you can shoot me a call/text/email at any point and I will respond right away with any questions you might have.

  • Nice little place near Dupont and U St. Check-in was really easy and everything in the apartment looked liked the pictures. Would definitely stay here again.

  • Easy and comfortable stay. It was only two nights and very close to everything, especially an excellent Greek restaurant (Angora). Transport is closeby, lots of bike lanes, and Dupont Circle is only a few blocks away. The apartment has all you'll need and Jay is very responsive. Definitely recommended for a great stay in DC, two thumbs up!!

  • The location on this place can't be beat. Safe, lovely, an easy walk to great dining. It's clean and the check-in process was easy. It's no frills, but also hassle free. Great for a quick 1-2 night stay. Thanks for a nice time, Jay!

  • Jay was very clear with the direction from getting into the apartment to leaving the apartment! He responded to my inquiries extremely fast and the place was cozy and clean and exactly the same as you see in the pictures!

  • "Right in the Middle of it All" for sure! What a spectacular place (!)...very convenient and comfortable, as well as Jay was a nothing short of great host, making sure we checked in okay, and was available on the spot when I had a question. I will be making many more trips to DC in hopes that this spot will be available again.

  • Really nice apartment. In a really nice neighborhood.
Schönes Appartement in einer sehr schönen Gegend. Kann es nur empfehlen.

  • The place was exactly as it looks. It was easy to get in and out and Jay was available for any questions we had throughout the weekend. It is a great little neighborhood, and I would recommend this place to anyone who is interested.

  • The location was pretty good. There were sufficient food places/pharmacies/grocery stores within a few blocks of where it was located. It takes almost a half hour to get to the White House but that's not an issue if you rent a bicycle from Capital Bikeshare. There are hubs all around the place (one within 3 blocks of the apartment). The bathtub was clogged and after reporting it to Jay, he sent over someone to pass me a bottle of unclogging liquid. The overall experience was pleasant, however, the one hour response time that Jay said he would get back to you was not consistent. It's as though he only responded to things he could sort, while others, he just left unreplied.

  • Jay was a very responsive host. We noticed a small leak at the toilet and he was on it with a quickness. The place was perfect, clean and well maintained. The area was awesome. Decent restaurants less than a block away, but call ahead to some of them if you want brunch. It was close to the metro and bikeshare bikes, and only like a 20 minute walk to the Whitehouse. I would stay here again.
