About this listing
In late 2012 we completely renovated this unit to offer a private hotel experience in the heart of the most dynamic neighborhood in the San Francisco. Instead of sharing someone else's personal space our studio is purpose-built as a hotel room. So no dealing with other people's stuff. Plus, you have completely private entrances.
Located at the very center of The Mission District you're literally only steps away from the best restaurants, bars and shops in San Francisco. Plus, everything in the unit is brand new. Similar to a hotel room there's no kitchen but with everything from the best coffee on the west coast to James Beard Award-Winning restaurants only steps away you really wouldn't need one anyway.
You get a spacious studio apartment with its own entrance and bathroom. There's a full tile rain-head shower, mini-fridge, and space for your stuff. Super easy access to coin-op laundry is only 5 steps away. Not to mention free wifi and cable tv, a brand new queen-size bed and access to the easiest public transportation in town (BART, cabs, Muni, Caltrain, etc).
This is a perfect homebase for your San Francisco vacation or business trip.
If we're booked, check out our friends' awesome place just a few blocks away: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/1271318
Private garden with BBQ, table and chairs.
The best neighborhood in San Francisco
Interaction is minimal. We'll get you checked in and make any recommendations you need. Other than that, you've got the place to yourself.
Check-in is 3pm.
Check-out is 12pm.
This is an actual apartment in a 5 unit building. Please be aware of your neighbors for your short stay: Quiet past 10pm, make sure to lock the front gate and no smoking in the unit.
And please don't steal the things from the studio. That's not cool.
Dylan's studio apartment was tidy, cozy and the perfect location for exploring and eating around the Mission. Right outside the door is a bus stop and two blocks away is the subway to take you outside the neighborhood to explore everything else the city has to offer. Our flight arrived early and we were lucky enough to be able to check in a few hours early, which we were super thankful for. We didn't get to meet Dylan, but we did meet his wife, Keelin, very briefly on check-in to collect the keys. But otherwise we didn't see anyone since we were often out and about. There was also a separate entrance for the apartment so we didn't have to go through the main hallway, which made it feel very private. The studio was a perfect home-base for inner city exploring and is right near Dolores park which we visited frequently during our brief stay -- perfect for people watching and enjoying the beautiful weather. The bed was also comfy which was great after a full day of walking/bling. We would absolutely stay here again or recommend it to friends and family. A perfect spot in the middle of a great neighborhood!
Very clean. Very quiet. Had a great stay in the studio apartment and would return again. You definitely can't beat the location in The Mission as well. Close proximity to everything.
Fantastic stay at an excellent spot. Everything was (email hidden)ime location in a VERY happening neighborhood (within easy walking distance of ALL the things we wanted to visit in the Mission District, which was a nice surprise), comfy bed, and a shower that put most hotel showers to shame. Dylan was an excellent host; responsive, helpful, and gracious in every way. If the Mission District fits your San Francisco travel plans and this place is available, grab it!
Accomodations and location were great, just as announced.
The only issue was there was construction work being done in the premise that started 8 am everyday, did not know of this beforehand.
This studio apartment in the Mission was the perfect base for exploring many great SF neighborhoods. The Mission is the best place to be if you want to be close to the most amazing coffee shops, restaurants and bars. The studio was just as described. Clean and modern and equipped with the essentials. Dylan was quick to respond to any questions we had prior to checking in and his wife Keelin met us upon arrival and checked us in. We will definitely be back to the Mission and we would gladly stay here again.
Although Dylan was out of town, he made arrangements to have a family member help my girlfriend and I with checking in. It was a breeze. We texted Dylan's family member and got an immediate response, no difficulties at all. The studio was clean and ready when we arrived. There was a small fridge which was perfect for our stay. There is no "kitchen" area, but we were surrounded by all types of great food! We didn't even need it. There are tons of great places to eat within walking distance. The bed was extremely comfortable! Felt like we were sleeping on a cloud. Location was just as described, right in the heart of the Mission District. Something that was a huge issue because of this was parking; driving around for nearly an hour before settling on the parking garage on 21st. It was $27 overnight. The next night we were able to find a spot, but had to wake up around 6am to move the car to avoid a ticket. If possible, don't travel by car. You won't really need it as public transportation is fairly easy to use and pretty consistent.
We enjoyed our stay in Dylan's apartment. Communication was easy as well as the check in and check out process. The apartment was clean with all amenities and the bed is super comfy ! Despite the initial shock regarding the amount of homeless people outside of the BART train station when we first arrived, after walking up Valencia street from the apartment and around we fell in love with the Mission area. The apartment is also very secure and safe. I would recommend eating at Lolo's or their sister restaurant where it may be easier to get a booking called Lolo Cevicheria.
