Apartment Cernaia 51 is very close to Porta Pia, gate of Rome through which italians troops entered in Rome and occupied finally the territory of the Pope (1870).
The apartment is located in the city center,10 minutes walking from Termini train station and connected also with the train coming from the Fiumicino airport.

We were greeted by Francesca at Apartment Cernaia and shown everything needed to get us started, including some lovely coffee and some guides to the city .
Some of my mother's words! - 'A wonderful apartment with incredibly high ceilings and typical Italian tiled floors. And when you arrive at the termini just stay to the right and follow the Eagle to Via Cernaia'
Even though the check out time was midday, our retunr lfight wasn't until 10pm that evening so Francesca allowed us to check out whenever we wanted. This made us very happy as we could take our time looking around Roma!
Thank you Francesca, we would absolutely reccomend you!
A wonderful and spacious apartment with lots of interesting art books. We felt home immediately. Francesca was a very helpful and friendly host. Everything you need is right there on arrival: An espresso machine, coffee, Pasta, olive oil etc. We loved it. A very authentic Italian experience! We will come back soon!
francesca is a very kind person - the communication. check-in and check-out were easy - the apartment is huge. clean and only a 10 minute walk away from termini station. but it feels more like a vacation rental than a real home - the area is ok
A wonderful place to stay, a wee bit outside central Rome but only 15-20 minutes walk if that. Big beautiful apartment, safe and quiet area, beautiful view of gardens out the huge windows.
You MUST go to Gelateria La Romana just around the corner.
We - my daughter, grandson and I had a good stay in Apartment Cernaia. Francesca was very friendly and helpful hostess. She had kindly printed out a small map with useful local information. The location was excellent. Near Termini with good connections. Area and house was peaceful. The apartment was elegant and clean. Beautiful view to the park. We can warmly recommend this apartment!
Francesca was incredibly helpful and well organised. The flat is lovely and has everything you might need for a pleasant stay and making food at home which me and my grandmother did. Although the apartment isn't near the main attractions, it's right next to the main train station which has a nearby metro, and a taxi rank is nearby. I'd stay there in a heartbeat again.
This was the very first time I used Airbnb (due to the rather expensive hotel rates) and it was the best choice we could have made! Six days before we left I sent out an message to 4 Airbnb apartments in Rome of which Francesca replied immediately within 24h, 1 person rejected (apartment not available) and 2 other people only answered after 4 days.
Communication with Francesca was excellent. We had an early flight and arrived at 9h45 by bus at Roma Termini, called her and already had the keys one hour later while the normal check-in was 12AM! She even let us stay passed the check out time (3PM) due to our late flight (9PM Ciampino Airport).
Francesca took the time to explain how everything worked in the apartment and even made a small interesting guide with places/restaurants/bars/museums to visit!! In the 6 days we stayed there, we didn't miss the lack of a television and/or audiosystem because there's so much to discover in Rome. We had our own laptop/iPad with we connected to the 2.0 audio speakers.
Also the location couldn't be any better. being on the corner of the street, opposite of the garden of the British Embassy and close to Roma Termini train/subway (+-750m) and the Castro Pretorio subway (+-500m) with a large Conad supermarket (60 Via Goito, +-400m) nearby.
If you don't mind spending time in an apartment with a rather classic design, I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a stay for some days in the city center close to public transport/shops/subway!
L'appartamento è fantastico. Curato, pulito, comodo.
This is the final rate, including any fees from the host and Airbnb.
