Riad Hania is a cosy but sleek place, decorated in a modern and clean style where small details take prevalence. The atmosphere is light and fresh with natural plants having a big role in this feeling.
The riad disposes of 3 bedrooms (all with en suite bathroom and air conditioning), one living room, one kitchen, one hammam (traditional Moroccan steam bath) and a terrace with an indoor pool. The living room has air conditioning, indoor fireplace for chilly nights, television and DVD player. The kitchen has a big fridge, a stove and plenty of storage room. The hammam can be used by 4 persons simultaneously and requires about two hours to heat before usage. The use of the hammam and the indoor pool are included in the price, so you can use them as much as you'd like.
Guest can expect comfortable accommodation and cleanness with amenities installed to make their stay as pleasant as possible. As usual, breakfast is included in the price and served where guests desire. Cleanness is assured by the daily presence of a housemaid (also in charge of cooking) and maintenance is taken care of by the host.
The neighbourhood is very popular among locals and tourists, being a great spot to explore the souks and main monuments and attractions of Marrakech such as the Jema el Fna Square, Madrasa Ben Youssef, Museum of Marrakech and still within walking distance the Bahia and Badi Palaces. There is a wide offer of dining options (Cafe Arabe, Cafe Bougainvillean, Terrase des Epices) and groceries shops as well as several souvenirs and moroccan handcraft shops.
For public transportation, you can head to the Jema el Fna Square for the city bus or the closer Bab Laksour for a taxi. There are car-parking facilities in the vicinity as well.
We are also available to organize day excursions to nearby places like the Ourika valley, Ouzoud Waterfalls or Essaouira and longer excursions to the desert like Zagora or Merzouga. Excursions to other places are also available upon request.
Be respectful to the neighbours and staff as well as to other guests of the Riad. This ensures that, in case of conflict, people are always polite to each other without insults or scandal.
Bear in mind that Morocco is a Muslim country and although alcohol is sold on shops and supermarkets, consumption is only allowed indoors and it is strictly forbidden by law to drink it on the streets.
It's a good location, but not really a riad. In the end it seemed a little expensive for what it was.
