This is a private, self-contained apartment. The front door and back door each have their own, separate entry that aren't shared with any other apartments.
Interaction with Guests
I interact with my guests as much as possible! I don't reside in the listing but I do see my guests as much as I can, especially as my office is located right out the back door of the apartment in the car park behind the building.
The neighbourhood is vibrant, full of tourists, and is located just over the Ha'Penny Bridge and around the corner on Middle Abbey Street. There are pubs on every corner, restaurants everywhere and the pedestrian-only shopping district is only 100 m away.
The main bus corridor on O'Connell St is only 200 m away and the tram line is on our doorstep. There is no need to even take public transport since everything is within a 20 minute walk! We also offer parking in our car park behind the building at a cost of €15 per night.
Other Things to Note
Check-in is from 3-5:30 pm. If your arrival time is outside of these hours then you *must* inform us so that we can make alternative arrangements for collection of the keys.
Please give us your approximate arrival time so that we can know when to expect you. It always helps to know when we can expect people!
When you arrive, please come to our main building at number 50 Middle Abbey Street for check-in. We are located directly opposite the main entrance to Arnotts department store, just look for the light green house with the orange door.
Ring the bell when you arrive; if I don't answer within a minute or two, just go next door to The Abbey Hotel and ask them to ring me.
There is no smoking allowed in our apartments as it is illegal in Ireland. If a smell of smoke is detected upon check-out then you will lose your deposit.
Nancy and Kevin were just great and so accommodating! The location of the apartment was perfect for us to take walks around the city and suited us with a baby who needed a separate room to us! The addition of a parking space was superb as parking in the city is impossible and we had an early ferry to catch. The pair are on call if you need them too which was great. Our only disappointments were that the oven didn't work (door doesn't close), our bed was really uncomfortable - feeling every spring - and unfortunately you could hear every footstep and noise of the people upstairs which kept us awake. That aside, the apartment served the need we had, on the budget we had, and we couldn't ask for nicer hosts.
We spent four nights here over Christmas and it was a lovely apartment to be in! It felt very homely and was spacious enough for the three of us. It was great to have a functioning kitchen too.
Location was perfect!! We were very close to all that we wanted to do and see including temple bar, grafton street, trinity college and many shops!
Both Nancy and Kevin were terrific hosts and easy to
Reach had we any problems.
A lovely stay in Dublin city! Would stay again :)
Great location! Right next to everything! Nancy was very nice and helpful! Couldn't be happier!

About the Host, Nancy
My name is Nancy Foley and I am the manageress of Dublin 1 Apartments. Kevin, the owner, and I are fun-loving, easy going hosts who love having guests come stay at our self-catering holiday apartments in the very heart of Dublin's city centre. We even have a new recruit by the name of Rogue, you can see her in the picture there with me.
We have a great knowledge of the local area and can easily direct you to the best places to eat, drink and be merry. The nightlife in Dublin is lots of fun and simply cannot be missed! We often form a great relationship with our guests and have even been known to go out with them for a pint or two in the evening.
Come stay with us and see what all the fun is about!
