My appartment is situated in Haxthausensgt. 7, in a lovely old neighbourhood not far from the Vigelandspark, the Royal Castle park and Karl Johans gate in the other direction.
The peaceful double bedroom is facing the quiet backyard, is a equipped with a 160 double bed, give you accsess to a shared bathroom through your own door, towels, sheets and down blankets are included in the price.
You also have accsess to shared kitchen, that is cosy and perfect for cooking and dining for six people. During spring, summer and fall season, you can have your breakfast outside in the backyeard, or grill dinner on a warm summer night.
There are a total of 11 appartments in the building, and nice neighbours.
If you like to bring your pc/mac there is a wireless connection in your room with a password.
The neighbourhood is very sympathetic, with a mix of cafees, galleries, and exclusive clothing stores. You can walk to the impressive new Astrup Fearnley galleri in Tjuvholmen, a very interesting modern part of the city, and you can even make a beautiful walk to the operahouse from here, most of the way along the water.
There are several supermarkets nearby, and a nice vegetable store just around the corner.
The Vigelandspark is perfect for it´s beautiful sculptures. You can make a picknick or go swimming during the season in their impressive outdoor pool.
In the winter season there is a great skating ring near the park.
You can walk to the centre easily, through the beautiful turn of the century neighbourhood.

Mona is a very kindness host. She gave me a lot of advice for exploring this city. It's very helpful. I am very enjoy in her warmth house and oslo.
Yes, yes, yes! Mona is fantastic, kind and very helpful person. She has absolutely beautiful apartment in very elegant, nice and quiet neiborghood. I strongly recommend!
I booked Mona's place fairly last minute as my plans had changed and Mona was really accommodating and communicating was really easy. I arrived when Mona was out so we did not meet, but her home was incredible, a really artistic surrounding. I especially liked the pony artwork in the corridor :-) This place is a real gem in Oslo, definitely worth a visit.
Unfortunately I didn't meet her during my whole 5-days stay in Oslo, for she was out in the country for business. But I got the keys to her appartment easily, and everything was just wunderful: House, room, kitchen and bathroom. We had close contact via mobile.
So this is a wonderful appartment central in Oslo and defenitely recommended. When I come back to Oslo, I will probably stay here again.
Thanks for all again, Mona!
This was a very welcoming and relaxing stay. Mona was really helpful and friendly. The apartment and room are v comfortable. It's a central location in an elegant district.
Susan and I just stayed one night with Mona and Louise, would have loved to have stayed a week...! We had a wonderful experience, when complete strangers become wonderful hosts, hospitable to the nth degree what a lovely warm feeling it leaves about a family, town, city and country.....location was superb, everything in walking distance, the apartment warm cosy spacious, homely quiet zinging with electric vie...absolutely the highlight of our very short 3 days in Norway..would return without a doubt...Highly recommend Mona and Louise...thank you for a great day and magic experience....! Hope to see you again...

This was my first Airbnb experience so I was a bit nervous about being intrusive in someone's home. However, the experience was nothing but lovely. Mona provided excellent directions to her home from the airport using the NSB train and my feet. I took a lovely nap in the middle of the day after my arrival, then she spend a good bit a time outlining on the tourist map the places to visit. I agree with other visitors, the bakery around the corning was a highlight....I visited daily for breakfast. The apartment is well situated in the town, the neighborhood is lovely. On the last evening Mona and I talked for 2 hours, and again the final morning as she and Louisa were having breakfast (from the bakery!). The bedroom was certainly sufficient for my needs, the bed was really comfortable, and I loved that the window opened into the courtyard...I kept it open the whole. The only thing I missed was there were only large towels in the bathroom. So, if you like using a facecloth when taking a shower, you might want to bring your own. However, I did not think to ask if Mona had one so she might if you ask. Overall a lovely experience.
Firstly, everything is just as pictured, the neighborhood is beautiful. There is a market nearby...around the corner and some very cute cafés nearby. Mona and Lovisa are so lovely! Mona takes time to show you maps and let you know where to take a walk...she may suggest a longer walking tour than you think your interested in, but trust me it was worth it. I even tried a spicy dish at one of the Indian restaurants they recommended. All in all decidedly a perfect host and room!
Mona is the perfect host, warm, welcoming, accepting, helpful, yet in no way does she impose on her guests. We immediately felt relaxed and 'at home'. We enjoyed our conversations with her. The apartment is in a lovely area, very close to public transport but within walking distance of central Oslo.
Super nice room in a beautiful and central area of Oslo. Mona is very easy going and helpful. I would recomend this place anytime! :)
