The Space

Naya Ubud's Lumbung Garden Perch is a traditional Balinese structure converted into a ‘love nest’. The Garden Perch is the upper suite of the Lumbung villa. The Garden Perch feels like a cozy, romantic and luxurious tree house with high thatched ceilings constructed by local artisans. The private balcony overlooks beautiful organic gardens, tropical jungle and partial views of the rice paddy fields. The queen-size bed and interior trimmings are handmade and whitewashed to create a bright and open feeling. The rear of the Garden Perch provides views of the temple and coconut tree garden. Stairs lead down to the spacious outdoor, covered bathroom with custom made bathtub that comfortably fits two and separate rainfall shower.
Guests of the Lumbung can enjoy the spacious common lounge area with adjoining infinity ozonated, pool, surrounded by exotic flora.

Guest Access

Each room comes with Breakfast and use of Naya's luxurious amenities, including ozonated swimming pool at Naya, WiFi, filtered water and 24hr Tea & Coffee making facilities.

  • this place. is. insane. i sort of don't even want to write a review because i fear that this place will be absolutely impossible to book once other visitors to bali discover it. it's perfectly decorated, very spacious, luxurious. the bathroom is amazing. we couldn't have asked (email hidden) to spend our time in ubud.

one small warning: the place is hard to find. especially at night. we ended up spending almost two hours lost on our motor scooter but between calling the house manager on the cell phone that we were provided and the help of friendly locals we did manage to find it again.

can't wait to come back here soon. hopefully for a much longer stay. we are already recommending the villa to all of our friends.

  • Love the place, the people, the service. Breakfast was served with a big bowl of fruits and house made marmalade, toast, eggs and coffee. You can also opt for the banana pancakes. Swimming pool is clean. Don't forget the in house massage. It is a must. We have a hired driver/tour guide for the duration of our stay. The roads leading the resort is narrow and there were no sidewalk. The resort is in the middle of the paddies. It is quiet (email hidden) to relax. Gusti and the rest of his staffs are very professional and helpful. Thank you!

  • The villa is pretty. The experience of getting there and dealing with Gusti, the manager, was a bit awkward. I booked and paid 2 nights through airbnb, upon checkout, the manager passed us an itemized bill that included the fees for one night (even though this was already paid). I showed him the receipt of payment and he deleted the item without a problem. Just a bit inconvenient if one is not looking closely to the final bill. You cannot use a local taxi to get here for the first time, as the villa is actually called Naya (not Lumbung), and there are no signs on the street (or the villa) that point to the actual place. Basically impossible to find if you have not been here before. The taxi we used from the hotel (Made) was very very very nice and helpful. It costed 60 Rps to or back from Ubud. The chef prepares delicious breakfasts (60 Rps) and the cleaning staff is very friendly. The pool is phenomenal. The dates available on the airbnb calendar are not always accurate. Before booking the room, I booked a few other rooms of the villa that appeared to be available, but upon booking these were not available. It took me 3 tries to get a room at the villa.

  • This place is amazzzzing!!! we are going back asap!!

It is a truly beautiful, peaceful place set amongst the rice fields in a quiet village 10 minutes from Ubud. Jay and Nadia were such great hosts, we really enjoyed spending time with them and they really went out of their way to make our stay special. The food by Wayan and Cynthia was so good that we stopped going out for dinners and ate most of our meals at Naya. Nyoman and the rest of the staff spent most of their time keeping our daughter entertained while we relaxed by the pool.
We were lucky enough to be able to try a a couple of the rooms at Naya. On our first night we stayed at Gladak which was as beautiful as the pictures, Jay has a really nice way of putting things together.
For our next three nights we stayed at Joglo. This place was incredible! We had a huge balcony which we could relax on while our bubs slept and enjoy the views of the rice paddies and the organic garden. We also had the most spectacular bathroom which was outdoors, generally I would be reluctant to do this but it is was so insect free that you forget that you are outdoors.

It was so good being there it almost ruined the rest of our holiday staying at a big resort by the beach. I dont know why anyone would stay at a big resort when there are wonderful places like this.

  • Great place that you cannot wait for returning and enjoying a great escape in Ubud. Jay is the perfect host, thanks to his kind attention to manage to visit so much around the house, even visited the Elephant Park for a ride. It was wonderful stay but 1 night was too short to enjoy the welcoming swimming-pool... next time for sure!

  • My family and I had a wonderful stay at Naya over the last few days. We went for my mum's 70th birthday. The rooms and gardens are prettier than in the photos. The people at Naya are lovely...the chef Wayan cooked us many delicious meals (which were much better than the meals we ate out), the manager Nyoman, who is also an artist, explained a lot about Balinese art and culture to us, Made who drove us around in his very comfortable car was kind and super helpful and Jay was very friendly and funny, and bothered to chat with us everyday and make us feel at home. The decor of the place is perfect, not a bit of the gloomy dark wood you see in much of Bali, but very bright and light while still being traditional. The gardens are very lush and they also have an organic vegetable garden. From the main common area there is a view of a paddy field with lots of cute ducks. We enjoyed our stay very much.

  • Amazing!!! In a way, could have stopped here, but must continue. Ludwig, who greated us there and guided through the Ubud experience was superb host. Both place and host are emitting so much of positiveness that its amazing. First place ever anywhere in the world, where we were offered a borrowed phone with all important numbers in it (taxi, owner, e.t.c.) to make things easy. Especially helpful for taxi arrangement - that was needed since place is a bit away from Ubud centre, but that is not a spoiler at all - just the opposite. Very nice to be right in middle of rice field, quiet. If want to have buzz - take a quick and cheap (website hidden) is beautiful, just opened, thus all freshly done and nice. Liked the design and proper finish. Probably by now they must have finished the special outdoor owen and additional lower garden as well. Pool is excellent. Kid absolutely loved it. Staff is very nice and helpful. Family very friendly place. After this stay will most likely also try to get to Ludwig's Naya in Istambul. Surely will make Your Ubud experience memorable. Around Ubud there are a lot of nice places to visit - all of that can be done either with the guide that can be suggested to you on site - we loved the guy. Or with the taxi driver Made. Say Tampaksiring, Sekumpul waterfall, temple on the Lake Bratan, rice field walk nearby Ubud. And definitely check out Sari Organic walk / food. Would love to come back one day.

  • We had a lovely stay at this unique accommodation. The views from our bedroom were fabulous. The breakfasts were delicious- the best black sticky rice we've had in Bali! The staff were exceptional especially Ludwig and Nyoman.
    Highly recommended!

  • We only had a few days stay at Naya, specifically in the Gladak, with my partner and our 4yr daughter and the experience was indeed amazing. Jay (who has spent years creating the place) and his new house manager Ludvig are together creating an phenomenal experience.

To imagine that people pay often 5 times more to stay in luxury hotels in Bali is beyond me. The space, the quality of the interiors, the grounds, the people, the pool (the pool!) the location are all second to none. And I mean that sincerely, their house sets the standards by which other villa hotels in Bali should aspire to.

Everyone working at the house were down-to-earth/helpful/kind/nice in a human way that big hotels try to achieve through training, but are really just qualities of nice people in the first place.

We never had any problems with wildlife in the room, but it's worth noting that in the middle of a rice field you are likely come close to wild life and spiders the kind of which you measure by the size of your hand, but they are all harmless.

Also, very close are a good number of excellent cafe/restaurants with extremely high standards of food, if you are willing to venture on a short walk/ride through the rice field.

I won't waste my time describing the location, simply look at the photographs, that is exactly how it looks.

Magical. I felt home (in the version of home that I only dream about)

Hello ~ My name is Rebecca Pflaum and I am a Kundalini Inspired Yoga teacher, mother of four sons, a regular face teaching at the BaliSpirit Festival, and the owner of Naya. For years I have dreamt of creating a space, a home for others to gather and to reconnect with their potentials, wisdom and gifts. A place where teachers, healers, musicians and dreamers can realize and share all that they have to (email hidden) for deep inner transformations, healing and those cherished AHA moments. We live in a time where more and more people understand the importance and crave to connect with that which resonates as Truth and is authentic in supporting a sustainable and nurturing lifestyle. The more we come together to create, encourage and support each other to be the best that we can be, the more all that is around us will prosper as well. Naya is your home away from home, a beautiful oasis for coming home to yourself. Allow yourself to participate in one of her many empowering and beautiful retreats, nourishing meals, soulful gatherings offering song and dance or just come and be still and soak in the healing surroundings of her nature and beauty. I am so thrilled to welcome you to Naya. Blessings!
