Welcome to our charming Umbrian country house. The property rests on the side of Todi hill surrounded by 10 hectares of fields, fruit trees and olive trees.
We provide guest accommodation in our spacious guest bedroom, with a kingsize bed, antique furniture and fresh clean towels and bedsheets. We have recently created more space by removing some decorative furniture. There is a small wardrobe and chest of drawers for those who want to unpack.
While the bathroom is shared, we’ll mostly use the other toilet during your stay, so no waiting to brush your teeth at night! SInce there is only one shower in the house, so we will try to use it at a time that is convenient for you.
Breakfast is self-service, with a push-button Nespresso coffee machine, plenty of milk, cereal, yogurt and fresh fruit. And no need to worry about doing the dishes, we have a dish washer! Our well-equipped kitchen is there for your use if you want to make any other meals.
We have a living room with a comfy sofa, Sky TV and a cosy glass-fronted fire. There is a table in the dining area and another in the kitchen if you want to eat in the house. We also have broadband WiFi internet. The property’s thick stone walls keep it cool during summer and keep the heat in during winter, so you should always be comfortable inside.
The house is only 1.6km from the historic centre of Todi, about 20 minutes walk for those willing to brave the steep hill up to the town. Todi has a good range of restaurants serving traditional local dishes and there is a well stocked supermarket near the house. Todi lacks footpaths, so it isn’t ideal for walking from one part to another, but there are beautiful countryside footpaths which lead from our house to other places, you can walk to an old monastery or alongside the Tiber River.
If you want to visit Rome, our house is 1 hour and 30 minutes drive from the Villa Borghese. Other towns and cities are also in driving distance: Assisi 45 minutes; Perugia 40 minutes; Deruta (famous for ceramics) 20 minutes; Montefalco 40 minutes; Orvieto 45 minutes; Spoleto 50 minutes; Civitavecchia di Bagnoregio 1 hour; Arezzo 1.5 hours and Florence 2 hours.
Guido and I are quite good fun, chilled and enjoy a peaceful life. You can be sure of a warm welcome from us, our 4 cats and especially from our 2 dogs! We throughly enjoy meeting new people and hearing their amazing stories about their travels!
If all this sounds good to you, I'd like to hear from you. So get in touch!
Incredible stay here. Jon-Scot and Guido were both so welcoming. I loved learning about their story as we all had dinner together. They were super helpful and super accommodating. Thank you!
Their home is very close to town when I wanted to drive in and explore a little bit, but it is also very nice and quietly nestled into the country side.
Cucina ben fornita e servizi igienici completi. Wi-fi presente e ben funzionante.
Consigliato a chiunque voglia passare piacevoli giornate nella splendida Umbria.
Outstanding hosts, both 2 legged and four!! Loved the villa and 4 cats and 2 dogs...if you miss home this is a great home away from home. Even invited to share a home made pizza with their friends
AND let me use their washing machine and hang clothes outside a special treat!! ..lovely warm and friendly experience.
Todi is at top of a steep hill. Best to have a car.
When I come back will plan on staying here again.
We were privileged to stay at Jon-Scot and Guido's house ( unfortunately only for 1 night)
This is one of the highlights of our trip. They were more than hospitable and we were lucky enough to feel like a member of their family for the too short duration of our stay.
If anything, I wish that we stayed here a bit longer as the area has endless attractions and the landscape is picture postcard perfect.
We enjoyed a meal at a highly recommended restaurant and were joined by our hosts in a neighbouring village. The company, food and fabulous wine made for an unforgettable evening and a night we shall always treasure. Thanks guys for making it special.

I had such a wonderful time with Guido & Jon-Scot. It is such a beautiful home & I felt completely relaxed and at ease. The bedroom is so beautiful & they were kind to provide breakfast, even though I had my own with me :) They make you feel right at home immediately & have some great stories to share & they gifted me plums & my fave .. Kale!! Todi is a beautiful town - bit of a walk up - but I felt so fit getting to the top & sometimes a nice local might stop & drop you back (this happened for me).
We really had a lovely time in Todi with John-Scot and Guido. We staid one week in their Country House and had a terrific time.
First of all, John Scot and Guido are really nice people. They want to get to know you and you feel directly very welcome.
What is also very nice is the fact that they speak both very good English (John Scot is from Scotland), so you can ask them anything.
The house is really chilly, you can have breakfast in all tranquillity, the bathroom is clean, and the animals are as friendly as their bosses:)
Todi is also a nice town to stay to visit Umbria. Out of Todi, we visited Assisi, Perugia, Orvieto, Spoleto,... The maximum we were in a car was one hour.
Todi itself is a very nice, quiet village.
And:) not far from the country house, there is a great open air swimming pool, where you can swim with the real Italians:)
If you want to have a quiet and peaceful vacation, then we would highly recommend this place!

Lovely place and great host!
Also very close to the city center.
We had a very good time with Jon Scot and Guido. We were welcomed like friends. Very nice and friendly guys.
Beautiful big house, nice garden and a driveway with cypresses.
Very tasteful interior design, with lots of antiques and art. Highly recommended.
