THE PUTRA VILLA: Stunning private big one bedroom villa with large bathroom and kitchen for people looking to stay for a little while. Surrounded by rice fields with two porches for the classic Ubud outdoor living. Comes with hot water, wifi, full time staff for daily cleaning and maintenance. Large porches with great lighting in front and back. Kitchen to cook up whatever you want. Free drinking water, tea, and coffee the whole time--there is a great water filter in the kitchen so you can take a break from all of those plastic bottles.
The pool is shared between the five houses and is very lovely. It's all part of a larger complex with friendly expats from around the world and an awesome Balinese landlord that manages the place great. You will feel right at home, and there is 24 hour security. I also include a local cell phone with important numbers programmed in like restaurants that deliver, drivers, our lovely massage lady, and emergency calls. It's all to make your stay as easy and happy as possible here. I can arrange airport pick up and drop off for you. Ideal for artists, musicians, couples, yogis, travelers, and people looking for a little break from it all. LGBTQ+ friendly.
Nyuh Kuning is a wonderful, quite village located right behind the Ubud Sacred Monkey Forest. No one trying to sell you things or offering "transport". Just a relaxed happy village. Nyuh Kuning was also voted Bali's cleanest village in 2012, and has twice been voted Indonesia's most beautiful village. It is about 1km from "downtown" Ubud. This way you get a quiet village experience but are in striking distance of the shopping and restaurants Ubud is famous for. It's about a 1.5km walk to the Yoga Barn for those coming here for yoga. There is a motorbike here for rent.
There are lots of restaurants and cultural activities located here. Our Villa is a hidden gem in the rice fields with wonderful, helpful staff. It is located right across the street from Bumi Sehat Birthing Clinic for those interested in volunteering or visiting there. There is a dog and some cute cats here, so it's good if you like animals.
Looking forward to meeting you :)
Sue. ( a darling) has 78 reviews. I cannot add anything original to mine, so feel it's all been said.
One thing that has not is the chatting to the local Gods that I hear right now at 8:00 am.
If you do not come here you miss out.
What a gorgeous little spot in a lovely village. Although we never met Sue personally, she was very professional and kind in her emails. She left us a few ice cold beers in our fridge to compensate for some afternoon construction sounds, very much aporeciated. The pool was goegeous, the neighbours were lovely, the cat shared the villa with us generously. :-). But the grumpy dog did try to snap at my husband. Guess he's not a fan of canadians. We only left this place because it was a kittle remote without a scooter. Very happy with our stay, thanks again!!
Sue was AWESOME ¡! She was really attentive to any questions we had, lent us her motorbike for our stay, along with the villa's rice field views made us not want to leave. The village is in the best location away from the hustle of UBUD, a true cultural experience.
A wonderful and relaxing stay. Staff were friendly, the room was kept clean and Sue was super prompt and diligent in communication to emails. Thanks! Definitely inspired me to come back to Bali.
Highly recommend the Yoga Barn for great 7am flow classes and 'Clear' cafe for incredible organic food.
We loved staying in this charming villa, even felt like at home during the four weeks there. Good energy, nice pool, lovily long-staying neighbors and animals visiting the whole day. During rain season the house was a bit musty, which is quiet normal in Bali. Would definitly come back.
I am sad to leave !!! I had a perfect stay at Loka Pala. The room is as it is in all the pictures, the wifi worked really well, the place was totally peaceful and the pool was lovely and clean. A big thank you for Sue for being welcoming and friendly and looking after our needs, (especially for the scooter) and to the staff who keep everything tidy and looking nice. All the best. Lauren
Sue was a fantastic host. We were sick upon arrival in Ubud. She provided us with information for a doctor, a cell phone to use for local calls and a stack of menus for local restaurants that deliver. We were able to rest up and heal thanks to Sue's help. The room was beautiful and clean. We had a spectacular view of the rice fields from our back porch. The pool was mostly empty for our stay, so we had it to ourselves whenever we wanted to use it. We also loved all of the animals visiting us on the property :) I would rent a room on this property again in a second.
Great little gem in the cosy village of Nuyh Kuning. Sue was a wonderful hostess and was very helpful if we needed anything.
Sue made it very convenient by providing us with a cellphone with local simcard and take-out menu's for the best places to eat in Ubud. And she even has a motor-bike for rent if you want to ride around town.
The WiFi was okay, expect around 0,5 Mbits, but that's about what you will get any where else as well.
We enjoyed our stay so much that we are coming back after only three weeks.
Nestled in a quiet, clean and beautiful village of Nyuh Kuning, Sue's place was the best place for us to collect our thoughts and regain fcus after chaotic travel in UK and US. We were working on a book and our office was the Gazebo with frequent dips in the pool :). Sue is a very attentive host. One of the days when the wifi was not working she went way beyond expectations to make alternative arrangements for us which fixed our problem. There is a lovely breed of kittens in the compound and if you do stay here, say hello to Mr. puff for us :)
Sejour tres agreable,tres calme,bien situé,repondant à notre attente.
