A nice public garden is right across the street, beside the ancient Aurelian Walls (dating back to the III century b.C.!) you can view from your window.
The amazing Basilica of San Clemente (known as 'the lasagna church' because it reflects how Rome was built on layers), is reachable on foot and so is the astonishing Santo Stefano Rotondo Church, superancient and hiding a surprise.
All the basic shops and services are around the corner: snack bars, ATM, bakery, restaurants, pizzerias, self service restaurant, supermarket, delikatessen, pharmacy, tobacco store, newsstand (where you can get bus/metro tickets and cards), a small fruits&veg market in the morning, an all you can eat sushi restaurant and even a cheap vintage and second hand indoor market!

Guilia was very warm and welcoming, even recommended her favorite local restaurants where no word of English was spoken but the food was awesome! The place was charming indeed. Very convenient that there's a tram stop right in front of the apartment that easily brought me out to the major sights, it's also a short (10 minute walk) from the city. Only one things that could have made my stay better - NOT to go in summer (the heat was really bad!).
Grazie mille Giulia.
Me and my girlfriend had a lovely time staying with Giulia. She was such a nice host and was always there when we had questions about the city. She has a lovely house a walk away from the city walls and the colosseum with good transport links nearby. The breakfast provided was excellent with a wide abundance of choice and tasty fruits. If you want an authentic Roman experience stay with Giulia.
Guilia is the perfect host! Upon our arrival at her lovely apartment, she gave us a map and wonderful local recommendations. She provides a great spread for breakfast, including eggs, yogurt, toast, muffins, etc. Guilia is attentive, kind, and very welcoming in what might be an overwhelming city. Throughout our visit she also helped us navigate the city with public transit, and directed us to lesser known neighborhoods with vibrant restaurants and bars. Fantastic host aside, the apartment itself is phenomenal. Almost everything is updated and modernized- the bathrooms, the kitchen, and what is left original adds perfect vintage touches to the place. Location wise, the apartment is a ten minute walk to the metro line A and the ancient city is only twenty minutes away on foot. Everywhere you would want to be in Rome is effortlessly reached from the apartment either by foot or a short metro ride. I absolutely cannot say one bad thing about Guilia or the apartment- both are so so magnificent!!
We felt really welcomed in the way Guilia introduced us to Rome, her home, our room. A wonderful appartment, welcoming livingroom with breakfast, snacks, guidebooks; everything designed in a mixed, generous, charming way.
Two fantastic bathrooms, a nice bedroom with very good beds, easy to either walk down to Colloseum or go by bus or metro down town.
The breakfast every morning was really nive. Eggs allready boiled, the coffee prepared just to heat it up, fresh fruit at the table.
Guilia introduced us to Rome with her recommendations of places to visit, restaurants, ways to reach our goals and even prebooked taxi on our early morning departure time.
We would love to recommend this stay in Rome!
