Interaction with Guests
We live in the separate upstairs apartment of the house. We love to welcome our guests upon their arrival and are always available to answer your questions about San Francisco.
Twin Peaks is the highest natural point in the city. Breathtaking views of the city skyline, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Bay and the Pacific Ocean are just a five minute walk from the house. The beautiful Glen Canyon with all its wildlife is right across the street.
It is also a geographically central location. It is easy to access all neighborhoods either in a car, on public transit, or on foot. Ask for a walking map!
There are two large grocery stores less than a ten minute walk away. You will also find cafes and drugstores for any thing you might need.
The private apartment is easily accessed by 3 major bus lines that can take you to many neighborhoods in a short time. The Castro is a 7 minute bus ride, or on a nice day, a 20 minute stroll that offers sweeping views of the city. At the Castro St stop the subway can take you downtown in about 10 minutes. The Mission, Haight/Ashbury, Cole Valley, Inner Sunset, West Portal, and Glen Park are also quite easy to get to by the other bus lines or on foot.
I really enjoyed staying in the apartment. It is a private place with well equipped kitchen, spacious bathroom, cosy living room, comfortable bed, and a charming yard area just outside the door. Kevin left me a delicious chocolate bar as a welcome gift - such a nice and considerate gesture! Among other things, the apartment has plenty of space to store things you are travelling with. There is a wide selection of board games and a collection of informative tour guides about and around SF. You are about 15 minutes away by bus from the nearest subway station, and what a bus ride that is! You are enjoying breathtaking views of the city skyline! Apart from the subway, you can catch F tram which takes you through the centre of SF along Embarcadero and straight to magical Pier 39. Big thanks to my host and my highest recommendations to future tenants.
Kevin was very friendly and helpful during our trip to San Francisco; he left us a bottle of wine and chocolate for us and the first night we were there he had a get together with some of his friends (the unit is split between the lower, one bed unit and the upper, several bed where him and his room mates live) and invited us up to hang out, which ended up being a lot of fun (even considering how tired we were from driving that day). Very helpful and knowledgeable about the city and always made sure he wasn't being too loud upstairs.
Our stay here was fantastic! The apartment was clean, quiet, and very comfortable to stay in. The location was perfect and you can walk or transit to almost everything. Kevin and Kenneth were so much fun and even gave us a bottle of wine to take with us.
We would absolutely stay here again!
We traveled with two small daughters to San Francisco and everything was ok. The apartment is well located and fully equiped for a small family. We had everything we needed. It is exactly as the pictures show. Kevin and Kenneth are really nice people. We did not have much chance to chat, but they were always available for helping us whenever we needed. And they also left wine for us, which was nice after a long trip. I would recommend it to my friends. Thanks for everything guys. All the best...
The host left my parents a bottle of red and chocolate. That was a nice welcoming touch and kind of them. My parents enjoyed their stay and said that the bedroom was comfortable. Parking was very easy ... just be aware of the hills and cars flying down (welcome to sf).
Kevin and Kenneth were great hosts! The space was clean and inviting and it made our stay in the city comfortable.
The apartment is very comfortable and very well located near Twin Peacks. The bed for the 3rd adult is however a little bit narrow.
We enjoyed the little present on arrival, a bottle of good red wine and a chocolate bar.
I would return if the opportunity arose or I would recommend it to my friends.
Thank you Kevin.
