Interaction with Guests
We live in the separate upstairs apartment of the house. We love to welcome our guests upon their arrival and are always available to answer your questions about San Francisco.
Twin Peaks is the highest natural point in the city. Breathtaking views of the city skyline, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Bay and the Pacific Ocean are just a five minute walk from the house. The beautiful Glen Canyon with all its wildlife is right across the street.
It is also a geographically central location. It is easy to access all neighborhoods either in a car, on public transit, or on foot. Ask for a walking map!
There are two large grocery stores less than a ten minute walk away. You will also find cafes and drugstores for any thing you might need.
The private apartment is easily accessed by 3 major bus lines that can take you to many neighborhoods in a short time. The Castro is a 7 minute bus ride, or on a nice day, a 20 minute stroll that offers sweeping views of the city. At the Castro St stop the subway can take you downtown in about 10 minutes. The Mission, Haight/Ashbury, Cole Valley, Inner Sunset, West Portal, and Glen Park are also quite easy to get to by the other bus lines or on foot.
Where do I even begin!?! My fiancée and I stayed with Kevin and Kennith for over a month when we relocated to SF and were looking for our own apartment. We couldn't have asked for a better first experience after a long cross country road trip. The apartment was clean, had great storage, and was well equipped with all the basic needs for our stay. It was in a great location with beautiful views of the city. Noe Vally is only a short walk down the hill and has great restaurants and shops. The public transportation system was 1 block away and allowed you to access any part of the city quickly. The BEST part of the apartment...Kevin and Kennith!! Kevin and Kenneth were such amazing hosts and we couldn't have imagined our first experiences in San Francisco without them. They both know just about everything there is to know about the city and were more than happy to guide us in our journey to explore the city. Because we stayed for a longer period of time we got to know Kevin and Kennith as friends and not just AirB&B hosts. They are so kind, giving, and went above and beyond to make our transition here enjoyable. We were so grateful not only to have a wonderful place to stay when we moved here but to form true friendships that will lasting after our AirB&B experience.
The apartment was very clean and warm. The bed was very good. However the house has at least one step up or down to each room. The bedroom and living room are connected by an inconvenient three steps up and down again. One has to traverse the entire apartment (and all of the the steps) to get from the bedroom to the bathroom. This is not an ideal house for a family and we came with a two year old! The table to eat on was bad. It had fold up sides which were not straight and a glass slid off and broke. There were three wooden folding chairs, (bad for kids) and one was broken so I used a step ladder in order to eat at the table. A suitable house for a couple but not recommended for a family with small children!
Kevin was a great host. Left us a bottle of wine with some chocolate, and the place was well-kept and clean for us when we got there. Also had a good selection of some board games to dive into for some fun.
Kevin and Kenneth are great hosts. We needed to update our checkin time on the day of checking in, and they were very accommodating. Their apartment had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was lovely and the place was very clean - two of the most important things! :-)
We had really great experience in Kevin's apartment.
Is modified first /basement floor of a nice town house.
Although this is not the newest place in town is extremely beautifully designed and decorated. Is also very clean and well kept.
It has nice quiet living room, well equipped shower, bathroom and kitchen, as well as quite backyard.
The bed room window faces the street, we did not find it uncomfortable as the street is not very loud, especially not during the weekend. Though for thous of you who are city noise mindful this is a point to consider.
The host is very friendly and nice guy and was really helpful with all our inquiries and questions.
All great! Nice extra touch having a bottle of wine and chocolate when we arrived. Great directions, helped us with luggage when we arrived. Location was perfect since we could park easily then take UBER everywhere we went! Everything we needed was there.
It was a beautiful flat at a gorgeous and convenient location. The host was delightful and arranged some lovely wine and chocolate on the dining table. We also had many questions about the location and Kevin was very helpful and quick to respond. Overall I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!
