This sunny, large room in a shared apartment has a comfortable memory foam topped bed, desk, chair, and drawers. The apartment is centrally located in San Francisco, and it is two blocks from the nearest subway stop.
This sunny and large private room is a part of a three bedroom apartment. The apartment has a full kitchen (microwave, coffee machine, oven, stove, refrigerator, toaster, juicer, blender, etc.) and a washer and dryer. You can use basically anything. I also have detergent, which you can use for free. The room is very large, clean and the sheets are fresh and changed around 5pm-7pm on the day of your arrival. The bed is a queen size bed. There will be freshly washed towels for you. There is a desk for you to use with a chair. The house has one printer, which you can use. I also have an iron and dryer for your use as well. There are additional sheets, blankets, and towels, for you if you would like available in the hallway closet.
There is a high-speed wired connection and wifi (100 mb download speeds). It is very fast and has been very dependable.
Location, Transportation, and Parking
Our location is very accessible because it is in the very center of San Francisco. We are 2 blocks away (6 minute walk) from the 16th St. BART station, which offers a thirty minute direct ride to San Francisco Airport. This is There are many bus routes that are right outside the apartment. A taxi from the airport takes about 20 minutes. There is free street parking available (with street cleaning limitations), and the apartment is near the freeway for those who need to get on Highway 101. I have detailed directions for you about parking, which should make it a lot easier for you. There is also a gas station on the other side of the same block.
Arrival and Departure
Since I travel often for work, I may or may not be here right when you arrive. There is an easy way for you to access the house even when I am away--I'll give you a key lock code that gives you access to the house key. In order to make your stay easy, if there are no guests staying directly before you or after you, I want you to be able to arrive and leave when you would like that day. If there is a guest leaving on the day of your arrival, I will ask them to leave at a reasonable hour (mid-afternoon), and ask you to do the same if someone else is arriving on the day of your departure (this is not that common, actually). You can absolutely drop your bag off early in the morning and roam around, but you may not have access to the room until later that day--this is so you can roam around without carrying around bags if you arrive very early in the morning. Again, I want to make it easiest for all people, and I want your stay here to be easy.
The Neighborhood (and Safety)
While the Mission area is alive and busy, my street is fairly quiet. There are hundreds of great restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance, and many bars if you want to go out at night. Coffee shops are everywhere, and there are many nearby grocery stores. The Safeway is a 10-15 minute walk away and FoodsCo and Rainbow Grocery are even closer (5 minute walk). Since the location is very accessible, it is, in my opinion, and many of my guests', an ideal location to access various tourist attractions. We are also a 10 minute walk from Delores Park, from which you can have a view of the entire city. I am privileged in that I have never felt unsafe walking around late at night as a male, but I also had two female housemates who came home late at night often because of work (they lived here for two years), and they never had a problem coming home by themselves (late at night). I'm sure they took precautions late at night as they would in any busy city area (walking on main streets, etc.), but they never had any negative incident occur to them during their stay here.
I am a pretty easygoing host. Ask me anything you'd like, and I'll get back to you as soon possible.
The room is yours to use fully, and the kitchen/washer/dryer are available for you to use. The living room may be used as well by the two very kind and relaxed housemates in this 3BR apartment, but they are generally away most of the time. No other rules than to treat the place with care.
Yong est une personne très sympathique , l apppartement est super bien situé , proche du BART , de resto et café cool . Le logement est lumineux , calme et bien rangé . Je recommande grandement cette endroit :)
Yong is super nice, helpful and accommodating. The room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was a bit small (I think all of them are in San Francisco) so I used the mirror in my room. Convenient location, close to many things and to BART. I wasn't there very much at all but it was perfect for what I needed it for.
Staying at Yong's place in the mission was a great way to experience the city for a month as I try to find a more permanent home. This is a comfortable and spacious room and the apartment has a good sized kitchen as well as a washer and dryer to make the experience super easy. Yong also rents out the other bedrooms and this was a fun way to meet other new people in the city. He is selective with who he hosts and so I never felt uncomfortable.
I would stay here again.
I had a really great stay at this apartment, Yong was a wonderful host and the location was just what I was looking for.
the room really is spacious and Yong always replied really quick to inquiries via Airbnb. What wasn't ideal is the situation with the keys. It took me 30mins to open the key lock to get the apartment keys..But Yong told me he would change the key lock assap. All in all the place is a typical shared apartment i would say with all the downsides you normally have there.. But as I have paid a cleaning fee, it would have been nice to have a clean bathroom and no beard stubbles in the room :-) What was very positive again, is the location, just like 1 min walk to Valencia street with it's fantastic 'Four barrels' coffeeshop. Also, thanks for sending me your tips, Yong. All in all I would recommand this place for people who mainly care about the location and less about tidiness.
Great stay! Yong was so hospitable and helpful during my stay. He truly has a "what's mine is yours" attitude in the apartment. His recommendations for restaurants and other random things I asked all worked out great.
The location is in easy walking distance to all the hip stores and restaurants in the mission. It's safe during day and night. Thank you!!
YJ is very chill and accommodating. I had some good conversations with him and other AirBnBers to pass time. This room is in a 4 bedroom apartment, so you get to meet a lot of people if you want. The room is very spacious and can sleep 3-4. Feels like home with housemates. Pretty good location to get to anywhere in SF. It's right near Mission Beach Cafe which is amazing for brunch despite the wait. Immediate neighborhood seems a bit sketch at first, but I didn't run into any real problems. It's on the border between some really nice neighborhoods and some sketchy ones. Bathroom is a bit small.

I am an easy going host. I am midwesterner from southern Indiana, went to college out on the east coast, worked abroad in Southeast Asia post-graduation, studied abroad for a masters degree in Ireland, and moved to San Francisco a few years ago. I love traveling, running, and I am generally away from San Francisco once per month.
