- The location is surrounded by resto, bars, cafe, park, public transportation and anything you might enjoy from a cool city lifestyle.

- Also, I rent 2 room on airbnb at the same time, so expect random travelers, my self and my pretty dog Chico!

- Just in case you like to spend some time with your host when doing the airbnb experience, I have a very busy schedule and i'm unfortunately often out. Feel free to call me if you need anything. If I'm around, I enjoy talking with my guess :)

The space

Recently renovated, we kept it old school Plateau. With high ceilings, nice rooms, wooden floor and an amazing terrace (in the summer), the place is a feel good Montreal apartment! Unfortunately, this room does not have a window. If you are looking for a real good night of sleep, your in for a treat ;)

Guest access

You have access to your private room as well as the bathroom. Queen size bed, couch, desk, and of course, a TV hooked with Netflix on for the rainy days.

Interaction with guests

I work a lot and i'm not always home, but if I am, I will be more then please to have a good chat and point you in the right direction for some good action!

Other things to note

I have a friendly large size dog. If you are afraid of dog, this not the right place for you. But if you like dogs this is indeed the right place for you!

I also rent another room in this apartment on Airbnb, so don't be surprise if you meet another traveler, they are usually ok ;)

I am pretty easy going but there is certain simple things that I need to make sure will be respected in order to make this Airbnb experience working for everyone staying in.

Here they are;

- Please take off your shoes when you come in and leave them by the door in the kitchen.

- I prefer not having unregistered guess, if you want to bring a friend over, please run it by me first. A $20 fee apply for a night-over and must be process through Airbnb. It's important for the insurances.

- You are more then welcome to use any dishes or kitchen tools that you need, but I would appreciate an immediate cleanup once you're done.

- Always make sure to lock the door when you leave the appartment.

- Always close the backyard's gate when leaving the backyard.

- Never go out by the front door.

If you can go along with all of those points, everything will be on point!

Overall Charles has a really lovely home, and it's fairly clean as well. Definitely a good deal if you're solely seeking a place to rest. My main issue was the lack of communication from Charles prior to my arrival - I wrote to him asking if I could drop off my bag before check-in- and the other houseguests who didn't bother reading Charles' guide. I know the latter might not seem like a huge deal but when another guest refuses to follow the instructions for letting themselves into the apartment by pounding on the door (between 6-7am) AND then proceeds to noisily make breakfast and watch television - that's an issue and one where I would've expected the host to intervene, or at the very least, apologize and neither of those things happened. Later that afternoon when I returned to the apartment to nap after having to start my day early due to the noise - yet another guest (or maybe the same one) pounded on the door for several minutes, before letting themselves into the apartment. Later that night (my final night) they proceeded to again loudly watch the television and make noise. Had these things not occurred, I'm sure my stay would've been pleasant. I know there's a variation in the level of involvement from AirBnB hosts. I've experienced everything from completely hands off to people who are more directly involved, but they all had one thing in common - solid hospitality and communication. I met Charles briefly while I was there and while he seemed nice enough, I wouldn't stay at his place again.

This is a fantastic place to set your bags and rest your head for the night. My room (#2) was clean and cosy and plenty spacious for one. I was in town running a half marathon the morning of my checkout. Even though checkout was at 9am at time at which I was still out running, Charles made it clear that as long as my stuff was out of the room, I was welcome to keep it there and shower after the event. That was amazing, so thanks!

Charles place is definitely to my liking. I love the place and small intricacies that we're perfectly placed all throughout the venue. It was an interesting to see walking into the back porch of his place at night. It gave a very nice ambient, calming vibe. I do not want to give away to much, you must see for yourself!! Thanks again Charles

This was an ideal location for my visit to Montreal. There are a wide range of many fantastic restaurants and cafes nearby. It is a short walk from two metro stations. The place itself is clean & suitable. Thanks for a successful stay in your wonderful city!

Montrealers in is early 30's, working full time and enjoying the plateau life style!

My location is great to showcase the city and I enjoy having people over so...
I decided hosting for airbnb after using it as a traveler and realizing I could do it too at my own place. Just loved the whole experience and want to make it easy for people to travel around without having to book an expensive hotel.

Voilà :)

P.S. I speak french and I have a dog.
