Nostalgia and comfort at Mamaw’s House. We are honoring our Mamaws, Grandmother, Granny and mothers; sharing their talents, interests, and love with you. Everyone belongs at Mamaw's House. The family areas are for fun, games and conversation. The sitting room, breakfast area, porch, and “mud” room give you a place to create or relax. Keeping with modern times, each of the bedrooms have workspaces, comfy beds, full size mirrors, and high speed internet.
So come on in and stay awhile.

The space
Vintage and feminine. Since it’s tribute to important women in our lives we took special care to choose furniture and accessories that they would love or that was actually theirs. As with a real Mamaws house, the floors creak and the home shows it’s age in several areas. We have improved many areas but feel that the “wrinkles” add to the character of the home. Outside there is a flowing creek, a mountain views and a holler behind the home. Birds, rabbits, and deer are frequent visitors. The neighbors chickens and ducks also offer entertainment and fresh eggs.

Mamaw’s house now allows pets. Please see the House Rules for our pet policy (additional rules). Mamaw’s dog, Prince, wasn’t allowed in the house so our rules are “loosey goosey” by her standards.

Guest access
Guests can access the property by a coded front door.
Late check in is no problem.
This code is changed after every guest.

Other things to note
This is a rural community. We are proud of the natural beauty around us. There are many local spots we can recommend for music, hiking, and good food. We are 5 minutes from Natural Tunnel State Park. 5 minutes to Clinch River, 10 min to Town limits. 30 min to Devils Bathtub. There are 4 hospitals within 35 mins. (Ballad)

Neighborhood highlights

You will have easy access to the highway but we are tucked in a little holler. Three homes are visible from the home but we have great privacy. We have hens and ducks that visit the property every day. They are happy and friendly. You will see them more than anyone else.
