Other Things to Note
Our breakfast is vegetarian with vegan & gluten free options...let us know your allergies in advance.
Distances are greater than you think here and roads are narrow..the smaller car works best!
we prefer arrivals to be before 9pm and we are happy to serve a later dinner if we are informed in advance.
in summer there is long light and in winter the country roads can be very dark already at 5pm so allow time to arrive safely. We are a destination well worth lingering at and enjoying the food, books and gardens...so relax this is your holiday!

We did enjoy the week we spent in the Chalet, in a very unusual and charming place. Lorna is a really nice and welcoming hostess who gave us lots of useful information about places to visit or where to have a nice cup of coffee ! We had a very cosy and relaxing evening drinking wine and Irish coffee (try it, it's great !) at the Phoenix restaurant, and we had great food there as well. The garden is lovely too, full of secret places ...
Great place and accommodation. Very original self-contained chalet.
We had dinner most of the nights in the cafe-restaurant Phoenix which was great.
