Interaction with Guests
I interact with my guests as much as possible! I don't reside in the listing but I do see my guests as much as I can, especially as my office is located out back in our car park behind the main building.
The neighbourhood is vibrant, full of tourists, and is located just over the Ha'Penny Bridge. There are pubs on every corner, restaurants everywhere and the pedestrian-only shopping district is only 100 m away.
The main bus corridor on O'Connell St is only 200 m away and the tram line is only 75 m from the apartment. There is no need to even take public transport since everything is within a 20 minute walk! We also offer parking in our car park behind our main building at a cost of €15 per night.
Other Things to Note
Check-in is from 3-5:30 pm. If your arrival time is outside of these hours then you *must* inform us so that we can make alternative arrangements for collection of the keys.
Please give us your approximate arrival time so that we can know when to expect you. It always helps to know when we can expect people!
When you arrive, please come to our main building at number 50 Middle Abbey Street for check-in. We are located directly opposite the main entrance to Arnotts department store, just look for the light green house with the orange door.
Ring the bell when you arrive; if I don't answer within a minute or two, just go next door to The Abbey Hotel and ask them to ring me.
There is no smoking allowed in our apartments as it is illegal in Ireland. If a smell of smoke is detected upon check-out then you will lose your deposit.
From Sep 1 - Nov 30, 2015 the minimum stay is 2 nights.
Fantastic apartment, very clean and modern. It's exactly as it looks in the photos. The location is great; easy walking distance to everything in central Dublin. Very highly recommended.
We had a wonderful time in the apt. Location was great. Apartment was great & we loved the patio. Would return any time. Will tell friends about the apt!
AMAZING PLACE! The location is perfect, very short (5-10 min) walk to a ton of major attractions in the city center. The place itself is very modern, clean, and has LOTS of room to spread out and relax. Kevin was very helpful, we arrived early and were able to leave our luggage with him until check in time. When I come back to Dublin I'll definitely be staying here again!
Amazing location - perfect for bars, shops and airport bus transport. Flat is really nice, clean and loads of space. Perfect for 5 adults. Didn't use the balcony due to the wet weather but would be gorgeous in the summer. Kevin was really friendly and very helpful. Would recommend.
Kevin was great, staying late at the office for our arrival after 7 pm. The location could not have been better: less than a block to the Ha'Penny Bridge and Temple Bar. Pub and grocery just across the street and a lua stop down the block.
We were a group of 4 women who managed to sleep separately by utilizing the two bedrooms, loft sleeping area and the sofa! As the only smoker, I am the only one who used the balcony, but it was a great extra. Beautiful space. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the heart of Dublin.

About the Host, Kevin
My name is Kevin Gilroy and I am the manager and owner of Dublin 1 Apartments. I with my new assistant Alicia wish a warm welcome to all of our guests. I am a fun-loving, easy going host who loves having guests come stay at my self-catering holiday apartments in the very heart of Dublin's city centre.
I have a great knowledge of the local area having spent all my life in Dublin and can easily direct you to the best places to eat, drink and be merry. The nightlife (i believe) in Dublin is lots of fun and simply cannot be missed! I often form a great relationship with my guests and have even been known to go out with them for a pint or two in the local pub The Gin Palace.
Come stay with us and see what all the fun is about!
