Patricia's cottage was exactly as pictured: impeccably clean, crisp, and inviting. Patricia herself was also informative, welcoming, and accommodating to our questions and needs. If you stay, visit the Midtown Cafe just a few blocks away--delicious coffee, acai bowls, and brunch items. Although Patricia set out daily snacks and water for us.
Thank you, Patricia!
Patty was a fantastic host! She waited for us to arrive and showed us around the property and our room. The neighborhood itself was adorable and in a fantastic location-close to everything. The cottage was adorable, cozy and very homey. It is important to note that the room has a full size bed and not a queen. Patty points this out several times on her listing however, I did not pay close attention so my boyfriend who is 6'3 had a difficult time fitting on the bed-this was very much my fault. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this cottage!
Chateau Bleu Cottage was just as expected from the listing. Cozy and inviting, located in a very quiet and beautiful neighborhood in Ventura. Main Street is just a few minutes away and everything you need is within a short drive. Patricia was very accommodating offering suggestions and ensuring I was comfortable during my stay. Her cottage and garden a real delight. I chose Chateau Blue Cottage to stay during a recent work trip to Camarillo, and I'm very glad that I did. I was able to rest and relax in the evening...it was just what I was looking for. Thanks Patricia!
Patricia was very nice and easygoing, even though I was only able to show up really late at night. She clearly stayed up to meet me and was still very nice and friendly, showing us around the room. She also left us with restaurant recommendations, I didn't get to see her after but she left snacks and water for us each day.
The house is very cute and private, very quiet and peaceful. Love the outdoor garden space. Her pillow are comfortable, but it definitely gets bright early, so bring an eyemask or be prepared to wake up! (I had to get up at 7 every morning so the sun definitely helped:))
Everything was very clean and neat, good experience. also very close to grocery stores and downtown Ventura (and harbor).
Very pleasant room in a lovely house. We never saw Patricia, but the arrangements for our arrival and departure worked perfectly. We had bagels and yoghurt on the sunny back steps for breakfast. The location was perfect for us, and the room was quite quiet.
We enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage. Patricia greeted us warmly when we arrived and was very anxious to meet our needs. She was very generous with daily bottled water and tasty snacks. Accommodations were exactly as described: quiet, beautiful, and private. Thank you, Patricia, for making our stay very pleasant.
The cottage was cute and cozy. The pictures accurately show the space. The roses in the room were a lovely touch. The garden is pretty and fragrant. We appreciated the water and snacks left for us!
About the Host, Patricia
I am a business independent professional whose children have grown and married.
I love everything garden and antique. I moved to Ventura from the Santa Ynez Valley to be closer to the beach and enjoy the climate here. Everyone envies the perfect weather in Ventura and I agree. My lovely cottage home has been so nurturing for me and has been a source of pleasure. You will love the ambience of this 1929 Cottage.
