The green Verzasca River invites you to swim or dive, for example under the world-famous arched bridge in the neighboring village of Lavertezzo, to canyoning in the wild side valleys or bungee jumping on the dam of Lake Vogorno, where the brave can do the same as James Bond. But even in the less visited, remote tributaries there are fantastic natural pools with crystal clear water.

Corippo is one of the last originally preserved tpyic villages of the Verzasca Valley. The village center of Switzerland's smallest municipality has been protected since 1966 and was awarded as exemplary in 1975 in the European Year for Monument Care and Homeland Security.

Except for now, Corippo has preserved its characteristic quirks. The construction of the houses and their uniform orientation give the village center a harmonious look. The houses are simple, robust. The thick natural stone walls and the roofs covered with granite slabs characterize the townscape.
The best season to visit Corippo is from early April till late October. In summer, a slight breeze always cools the descending southern sun, even the winter, in which the village is only inhabited by the few locals, has a special charm in its neighborhood.
