We had a wonderful stay at the apartment. The other reviewers were accurate in every way. I would only say that during our stay there were pretty loud building works going on in the next door flat during the week days. These would only have bothered you if you were in the flat from 9-5 but as we spent this time exploring the city, they were not an issue.
Overall we would highly recommend Michela's apartment and would gladly stay there again- fantastic location and a very smart flat.
We had a wonderful month of January, 2014, in Rome in Michela Bruni's apartment at the Spanish Steps. The location was perfect! It was in the middle of the best restaurants and shops, and walking distance to anyplace in historical Rome you wished to go...25 minutes to the Vatican, 15 minutes to the Borghese Museum, 25 minutes to the Colosseum. The apartment was spacious for two people. We loved having two bathrooms! Even in the middle of a bustling area, when the shutters and windows were closed, all was quiet. We would definitely recommend a stay in Michela's apartment for anyone making future plans for a trip to Rome.

Location couldn't be better for access to everything. Very well presented apartment - clean, nicely furnished. Housekeeper met us at 9pm to show us in. Quiet although could hear each morning some cafe owner drag his chairs and stuff out onto the street very early. No complaints at all apart from the woefully weak water pressure in the "rain" shower which was a bit of a disappointment to be honest.
We had a fantastic time staying in Michaela's flat. It is beautifully decorated, very stylish and clean. The area is buzzing and only 3 minutes away from the Spanish Steps. Lots of nice shops, restaurants and bars. Paola, the cleaning lady waited for us on arrival and also returned on time to collect the keys when we left, so everything worked well.
Will definitely be back!
Beautiful apartment right in the thick of things and walking distance to all the main tourist attractions (Vatican is the furthest away at 30 minutes walk). A couple great restaurants right around the corner (where we ate several times during our stay).
Michaela is very accessible, easy to reach, and communication is very easy and fast. Anytime we had a question (ie: where to buy more Nespresso caplets) she would respond to us very quickly. Checkin and checkout went very smoothly.
The apartment is very clean, well maintained and well cared for. It has everything you could possibly need (including a Nespresso machine) and is stylishly decorated. The apartment is extremely quiet with generally very little noise form the street below** (see next paragraph however, as we did have a daily noise annoyance).
The one negative of the apartment is a daily noise disturbance from the pizza place downstairs: Every night when they close (around midnight?) and every morning when they open (around 5AM?) they drag out these two super heavy umbrellas that make an extremely loud scraping noise that usually woke us up. I'm not sure if this is something normal, but it occurred every day we stayed (we reduced the impact of this by using earplugs)
Despite this, I would still recommend this apartment to others.
We were on a tour in Italy and Rome is our last stop. And we are so glad that we picked Michela's apartment in Rome. It gave a grand finale to this trip. The real thing is so much more impressive than the photos. it's right in the smack of the shopping district and everywhere. the metro is just a stone throw away. It is almost like living in our own home, whereby she pay attention to every small details. All the things needed are in there and more, not to mention the fact that the furniture are classy, tasteful and very clean. Michela had provided a 4 page short write up of the things to take note of in the apartment and the recommeded places to eat and go around the neighbourhood, including taxi adivce to airport and what not (very helpful). Definitely, i will stay here again the next time i'm in Rome. Well recommended and i don't think anyone will regret it.
Michela had been very prompt with her response and she had her house keeper, Paola, to meet us there when we arrived and before we left. Paola had been very punctual both times.
My first visit to Rome was great and Spanish Steps Luxury Suite was one of the things to make it so good.
The apartment is really nice, it has its special atmosphere and character. Well equipped - has all you could need to feel at home. The location is really central so that most of the main touristic points can be reached easily. Also metro station and taxi stop are very close to it in case walking is not the case.
Michela answered all the question I happened to have very fast and detailed, provided useful instructions.
Palola (the housekeeper) was exactly on time meeting us at the apartment on arrival and on our departure and was very helpful with the baggage (!) although we didn't ask for that.
I would definitely stay there again and recommend this apartment to my friends.
Among the best location, walking distance to main sites and shopping. The apartment has a beautiful modern design and decoration, excellent taste! Perfect for a couple who want romanticism and walk and sit at the Piazza's and enjoy the "dolce far niente..." I Would definitely recommend this place and stay again!
I am so glad that we chose Michela's apartment. It is perfectly situated, just a minute's walk from Spagna metro station and Spanish steps, and within easy walking distance to attractions such as the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. We even walked back from the Colosseum and Vatican within 30 minutes.
The flat is clean, modern, and stylishly decorated. It is very well equipped, including a washing machine which was very useful as I was staying a full week. The building is very secure, which is reassuring, and the area is always bustling so feels safe.
Michela was very helpful and replied quickly to all communications ahead of our stay. Our experience really could not have been better, and I would not hesitate to book the apartment again, should we be in Rome. Thanks again, Michela!
Our stay in Michela’s apartment was an absolute delight.
As described, this was a luxury apartment; beautifully decorated, great design features, clean & comfortable, air conditioned, two bathrooms, equipped kitchen, washing machine, WIFI.
The location couldn’t have been any better, seconds from the metro, taxi rank, grocery store, restaurants and major shopping streets.
This was our first time in Rome, and when we return we’ll definitely be wanting to stay here again.
